Strength can be had with either the fast or the strength versions. The wider prongs tend to yield more strength bases but not always. You WILL DEFINITELY need to shorten the prongs though.

As for moving the dial hub forward, that is where it was suppose to be, by design. China hosed up the hub placement. Then when they relocated it as a fix, they hosed it up again. Not far enough forward still and they over-polished the dial hole hub on the mold, making the hole too big. Once moved forward, it does have more stability and a little more strength but it tends to drop quite a bit of speed. Just keep in mind which leagues and tourneys allow chop shop bases and which do not. I'm not totally against it but it can lead to a slippery slope.... where does one draw the line at cutting and/or reconfiguring a base? But when in Rome... and whatever's clever.
