Default AS AN EF COACH: WHAT DO YOU DO TO PREPARE FOR POST SEASON?

In addition to the previous comments, I would suggest:

* Get on YouTube EF channel and see if there's any film on your likely post-season opponent(s) in your League. Or from another EF league that your upcoming opponent may belong to. Spend time watching these film clips. Look at them again ... and again ... take notes.

How does he set up for Offense? What formations? What did he do on first-and-ten? Second-and-short? Third-and-long? [if shown on the film clips].
Does he pivot/motion his WRs? To what side? How was his passing on film? Do his WRs get open, or do they get jammed? Was his O-line strong, average, or weak?
How good does his defense look? How did his pass defense look? Did he run zone or man-to-man? Was he able to stop the run on the film clips? Were his LBs quick with strong lateral movement? Which direction did his loopers blitz from?
How was his K.O. coverage? Did his gunners angle inside for "contain" or did they just run out of bounds? Did his kick return man look fast or simply mediocre? How good was his blocking on K.O. and/or punt returns? (if visible on the film clips).

* Scrimmage your O & D squads vs. what you saw in the film clips to the extent that's possible and reasonable.

* Contact your League office and try to obtain your opponent's regular season stats. Unless you already know his "style" the stats will help you to pinpoint strengths and weaknesses.

Don't beat yourself! Be smart! Do your homework! If you want to win, you have to pay the price!
