I agree, especially on type/brand distinction.
Even if each brand has his own qualities, everybody will agree ( I think) that some brand/ranges are more detailled than some other ones (french diplomacy
)
So perhaps, to make a contest more fair, we should split it in diferent categories :
each brand (miggle, jennings, Buzzball, ff.net) stock painted figure
customized painted figure (no matter the brand, or even hybrid figs, BUT with work in progress pictures so we can juge the customizing level too).
and a "special prize" for the best figure no matter the brand, customized or not (based on overall look, and/or originality of the subject, dynamic, sculpting, etc...)
or something like that...
