Default CBSMF All-American Game:Thursday Night!!!

This year, we will have the CBSMF College All-American Game. We will play this game on Thursday night. Game time should be around 9:00 pm. The Head Coaches of the East Squad will be Jim Davis. The coach of the West squad will be Mike Turner.

There will be 8 coaches under each coach. Four will be on defense and 4 on offense. Each coach will play one quarter designating his specialty as instructed by the Head Coach.

The Head Coach will not play but instead act as the overseer of coaches and plays to run.

This is how it works. It's sort of like track and field. Where do you put your best sprinter? Who is capable of giving you a quick start? Who is the defensive guru?

This is how the teams and coaching staff will look:

East All-Americans will consist of teams from the Big East, ACC,Big 10 and CUSA and Independents.

West All-Americans will consist of teams from the PAC10, SWC, SEC, and Independents.

East Head Coach - Jim Davis
Big 10 - 3 Coaches
Big East/ACC - 3 Coaches
CUSA - 1 Coach
Independents - 1 Coach

West Head Coach - HOF Mike Turner
PAC 10 - 3 Coaches
SWC - 3 Coaches
SEC - 1 Coach
Independents - 1 Coach

The Head Coach picks his 8 member coaching staff. We will create some type of online poll to determine the All-American team. This should be a lot of fun. Everybody's got to make an effort to get there by Thursday night. Everybody who is chosen have to make a concerted effort to get your stats in and make this really special.

I will ask Wolf to create an All-American logo and we can do some shirts up so this can be a part of the CBSMF attraction.

If anyone want to step forward and be the facilitator of this event, speak now. Don't just look at things like this as taking but give something back to your league and the hobby.

Default This is how the teams will be formulated

The candidates are determined by the following process:

0-1 Win = Select 1 All-American Candidate

2 Wins = Select 2 AA Candidates

3 Wins = Select 3 AA Candidates

4 Wins = Select 4 All-American Candidates

5 Wins = Select 5 All-American Candidates

6 Wins = Select 6 All-American Candidates

You get the picture. From this point, if you finished 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in conference, you can select offensive skill players to participate.

Linemen will be selected based on statistical information such as rushing stats, rushing average, etc.

Defensive players are nominated by team as well. Be sure to nominate players from both sides of the ball. You have just a limited amount of players you may be able to nominate so if you nominate an offensive player who is questionable, that was a wasted nomination. If you've got some dominate defenders, you may want to go all defense. It's up to you. I am drafting "Rookie" to manage a lot of this. He will be just seeing this for the first time like all of you but I know he's one of those who don't mind doing anything for the CBSMF.

Also attached is a sample ballot. I will definitely spice it up. The ballot may be an online ballot or a mail-in ballot which will have to be sent in by a certain date. All paid members of the CBSMF will have one vote. You can not vote for players off your own team. They will be disqualified. This means you will have to start getting on here and hyping up your players and letting the CBSMF world know why they are as good as you think they are. Just another example of the fun times we are about to have in Canton!
