Default New idea

I had a new idea tonight, I made a rough graphic try to present my teams like in the real thing, with picture and stats card, you know what I'm speaking about, the stuff we can see during tv games.

Here's a little sample of my Spartans QB. I plan to do it for each figure of each team, or at least for best men of gamedays (pass rush rec int sck) It's quite fast to do, if you have a template to use. It's also funny, since all my figures has faces, with a little work it will look like each figure has his own personality.

Of course I need to work on the template (and figures pics, on this one I made a fast night light pic of it on my desk corner) to make it look better, but you get the idea.

I plan to use that type of things in my internet broadcasts also (probably not in live).

Love the concept!!!! Back in the day, Tudor had something like that where you had cards that you would write the direction of the player's movement in a display box.

I want some of this for my teams!!!! Eventually I will get a new camera that I will be able to do video and or webcam and during the setup time you could fill the screen with the pic-card of the player who made the last play (doesn't matter who- offense/defense) and it stays up long enough for the slow reader online to pick up the stat line.

For use EFLers, you could instead of just number stats, you could ef stats...

Figure - Custom Miggle
base - proline SRF (Strong Round front)
tweak - Power runner

or something like that.......

thanks for the comments !

TO be honest, I never thought about another use than the personal use I'll do on my solitaire league for game reports...

@weirdwolf, I don't know, I just took 5minutes and made the card. The problem to share it to other members is that they need some graphics skills, to change the stats, names, and "cut" the figures and stuff like that.

For business, I don't think there is any business possible. First, because I'm not interested making $$$. I'm a true artist, born poor, living poor, and probably will die poor too

For personal use and fun, why not, but I don't see what and how you can sell anything on that concept

Perhaps without speaking of business or $$$ I can help on the graphics for coaches wanted to use that type of thing on their team, maybe trading for a few bases, figs or facemasks (usual things we all need often for our passion). I don't know, I didn't thought about it.

thanks again !

Yes, good idea too ! But for my solitaire league it will be useless (same figures, miggle small fab5, same bases : standard cheap ttc on linemen and qb, standard cheap rookie on all the other positions)

it's the idea I planned too. For games videos, being able to add those cards like in the real thing.

Default FRENCH FOR FUN

FRENCH,

This would be a new avenue for any coach in any league to show case tyhere star players. i think it would be cool to associate the figure in picture form along with his stats. For instance, imagine if there was a page created just for those cards on this site. we all get to see exactly what figure is being used to generate these stats. I like the qb percentage rating. I can also see some new avatars emerging from something like these cards. it can be somewhat similar to what roller did for the mid ohio avatars. its another way to show off some custom work. In any college league a card like this can be used to showcase some heisman trophy candidates. many options can come from this. Show case some MFCAL leaders !!

Thanx for sharing this with us

WEIRDWOLF WHERE ARE YOU ?

Let's say I'm the project director, found the idea, and now Lynn will make the dirty work and create card for ALL mfca members and ALL their teams skill players

More seriously, in the idea you develop Dre, we can imagine to use that type of promotional support for the future MFCA national championship. Once each regional champions will be known, and a few stats known also, we'll be able to create thoses cards to buzz around on videos, game reports, or posters and flyers to speak about the national events.

Being a regional champion will be rewarded with those electronic cards. You can also imagine that the finalists will obtain printed collectable cards with the championship game stats on it.

Following the same idea, national championship means MVPs also. Here's again, following the stats of the national championship, some players of the endorsed championship would obtain those unique collectable cards with their MVP stats on it.
