![]() Glad that we don't have to follow this thread for real
![]() ![]() ![]() I can say for me, I cannot answer the question because it takes all the different types of bases to complete your team's receiving corp. You need speed, of course, but you also need that "just get open" player; the possion receiver.... does your question include the TE spot?? Totally different type of player goes there.... K-LO |

![]() We use TTC bases, when using TTC's at the WR spot they don't get punked at the line by DB's, my favorite would have to be miggles CHEAP regular light green TTC's (24) in a pack for 6 dollars, main reason, ..........the front of the shell is SLIPPERY compared to other TTC's, 2nd run polos and 2nd run blues have a slippery front also, double clip dark green rookies are good also, diamonds green are excellent also but his clears are outstanding to because you can get some power out them cats, and for a base that weights only 0.73 to 0.78, thats pretty good.
If you want WR's that can hold there own on the line and slid off without getting pushed back 20 yards then try TTC's, rookies are good, but here, the league is so strong overall that rookies don't make alot of our teams, many teams do have rookies at WR including mine, but TTC's are starting on most teams. ![]() Pro Line Strong Rookie rounded front. To me these have the strength to take an initial punch, the rounded front can slip man to man coverage at a high rate, and they have great direction for sticks passing. Plus these bases are so stable you can put custom reciever figures on them who can be reaching up for the ball with one leg up (making for a taller passing target).

![]() I LOVE POLO GREENS rookies.I have them on my squad. They do get pushed around a bit but they still get open in the great lakes.I mostly put them in the slots so they are not on line of scrimmage.

![]() But I Would Use A Boat Base

![]() Well yes, boats are nice, but some leagues have rules against them or limiting how many you can have on the field and at what positions too.
Not everyone has boat bases and they are a definite advantage, you need to run double coverage to stop a boat. I have some boats and I am going to try to Frankenstein one to see what I can get out of it.

![]() Shabby you don't need double coverage to stop a boat base, you need a cover corner. In my view, a true cover corner in miniature football can bump AND RUN (not hold). This is achieved by attacking the reciever from an angle with arms/body forward figures. If attacking the reciever from the reciever's front right corner, have the cornerback's base arc to the right. The arms should lead the contact and help the corner to turn, and the slight arcing base will make the corner complete the turn to run with the reciever. Make it a fast TTC base and you can play simply man to man, bring those safties on up to blitz or stuff the run. When you play against boat bases or proline rounded fronts you don't necessarily take them on head-on, you try to direct the reciever to where you have coverage or you play cover corner techniques.

![]() You can't make these lil pieces of plastic play REAL football. Are you kidding me? I just wanna see my Nose Tackle...I mean Cornerback push the Wide Receivers 30 yards backwards!!! That's so fun to see the other guy's receivers get shoved backwards like they were lil toy soldiers. What's all this talk of Bump AND Run??? You can't make them do that. That's too realistic. Next you're gonna say your a Coach and not just playing with a kid's toy!?!
