Default Topic regretfully discussed

I have had the pleasure of meeting many great folks over the past two years from attending Buzzball, Seawall Brawl and the MFCA convention in Canton. I have made many friends, shared many ideas and learned many things that have enhanced my part in the hobby as well as in the playing of MEFL. It pains me to bring up this topic and I hope it is the only time that I will do so.
I have just noticed a disturbing trend as I have had time to sit down and play MFEL with my son and having recently selling a few of my teams. What I have sadly discovered was missing players from almost all of my teams. In the case of one team four players and in the others one or two. It takes a lot of time and heart to paint and decal these teams and for me, it is a work of passion. I love and I enjoy sharing it with all of you out there. It is unfortunate that someone out there has violated my trust and taken some players.
This will not change my approach to participating and bringing my teams to these events. However, I will be more concious and cautious when allowing others to share in my work. Please do not be offended if I am a bit more cautious. However, events have forced me to do so.
God bless all.

Default Always Watch

I don’t know about all that went on regarding your loss. I will speculate that you were at a tournament where mostly adults attend. It’s a shame that grown people don’t know how to act. Whenever I go to an event such as a party or even work, I never lay down any valuables because people will steal. Worst of all, some people will go as far as to set you up to get robbed. One has to be vigilant at all times. You can never let your guard down. This is especially true regarding people that you know because they can burn you faster than strangers.

Default Sorry For Your Loss...

...but nice guys ALWAYS get got! I remember Miggle #2 at the Chicago Hilton where a guy from Wisconsin got his Rashaan Salaam swiped while he was talking to guys. I always cringe when I see new guys that come to their first event, all hyped and excited that all the vets wanna see their stuff and then it comes up missing.

I say you should put up pictures of the team and mention the pose that's missing and hopefully someone comes clean and claims that they "accidently forgot to give them back." Offer an amnesty period, kinda like a gun turn in at police stations. It's not like they can show up with them on their team someday.

Regardless of the outcome, keep your stuff to yourself and just post pictures. This hobby, as in all walks of life, has it's share of liars, thieves and cheaters. BEWARE!

Mark I remember at the MFCA convention how open you were to letting me look at all of your work and its so disappointing to hear that you have some figures come up missing. That would be very upsetting for anyone, especially having seen how beautifully detailed you have all of your players. I'm not sure that everyone understands the labor of love that goes into these highly detail customized figures.

Again, sorry to hear this. On a positive note, I'm glad to see that you still have it in you to see the good in the events and to want to attend them in the future. I for one really enjoyed your company and I look foreward to seeing you at another tournament in the future.
Regards,
Joe

Default Sorry To Hear Of This

Mark,

Sorry to hear these items are missing. sometimes when playing another coach with a team similar in color, the coach could take a player thinking it is his as the result od not looking carefully. I played some games in the bam,, chiefs vs texans where both teams had white jersey's and red pant's. Sometimes we got a little mixed up during game play.

In tourney's when you are playing, sometimes you must use the rest room right away. Unless you ask the other coach to watch, your team is left in the open for anyone to swipe. WHO'S GOING TO KNOW WITH FIGURE'S THAT SMALL. You would think we have built a trust through association but there are alway's one or two people who have not learned to just appreciate what they have.

i away's see women in the supermarket leave there bag in the cart then walk to the middle of the isle looking for things. bag totally unattended. I alway's walk over and tell them never take your eye's off your bag. there answer, 'oh yeah". We live ina land where you must watch everything.

Whenever im dealing with dwayne jenning's at events, he alway's has to attend to something else for a moment. I never leave the table where his things are until he get's back. I WOULD NOT BE HAPPY IF SOMEONE TRIED HIM UNDER MY WATCH.!!!!!!!!!!!

mark, put a list up of what is missing. If someone has these teams of there own and may have come in contact wiith mark, maybe they did make an honest mistake and still don't know it. THIS COULD BE TRUE BECAUSE I HAVE NOT LOOKED AT MY CONVENTION AND SEAWALL BRAWL SINCE BOTH EVENTS.
maybe a coach has not looked at that paticular team either and just does not know. They are my MANTARAY'S so i know i would not have anyone other teams in there.

Default yeah man

i am sorry to hear that as well. i remember how proud you were in showing me your 49ers at miggle last year. then, at buzzball last march, you proud of the better job you did on those chicago bears. it sucks . but mark, remember when we were hanging out in The MegaWattz room at miggle, and he told us both of the very same thing . he said cats out there have swiped a few figs from him on many occasions. i wished you had remembered that. but now, you know, i know and we are all, reminded of this very unfortunate circumstance . and thats just straight wack!!
sorry bro, you are definitely one of the good guys too.
