man i got a little emotional this morning. my dark jersey cowboys done up by RAIDERMAN came in the mail. they are so sweeeeet. granted , im a 70's guy mostly, and these are mostly Aikman era Cowboys, but they are really TUFF. one of the BEST looking teams i have now. it will be so awesome to match them against teams from other buddys , who painted for me.
its the first DARk jersey Custom cowboys team i ever had, so to have them on the feild with / against...white jersey teams of......haiti/buzzballteams

is going to be a blast. im suprised at how big(over the years) my haiti-buzzball team collection has grown.

The Cowboys dark jerseys of the 70's were great. I have a team of them myself being a Cowboy fan. One of the great things about them was they rarely wore them. They ended up changing them because they thaught these jerseys were jinxed and opponents used to make them wear them for that reason. I wish they never changed them to what they have now. The Cowboys blue is a royal blue just like those jerseys were. The new ones are navy blue which does not match the blue numbers and stripes on the white jersey. JERRY PLEASE BRING THEM BACK !!!

As a footnote do you older guys like me remember that in the 60s and 70s the Browns and the Rams hardly wore their dark jerseys either ?

i never saw a game until 1972. and the rams became MY team(with dallas of course) in 1974, the year they added the yellow. i recall seeing tons of games with the rams in dark jersey's, but i also recall seeing them in white jesy's just as much.
if it werent for the so called "dark jersey curse, i dont think we would hardly ever see the cowboys in dark jersy's. if im not mistaken, there is only one other team that uses the white jersey as the home jersey

we all know the redskins "switch" everytime dallas goes to d.c. ...lol

i think the official rule is,"home team may pick the jersey they wish to wear". they dont have to use their home jersey just because they are at home.
