Default sum it up!

When faced with the challenge of defending the dignity of our hobby, i always find myself summing it all up to say this, man it's like chess, it's football chess!

I don't care what anybody thinks about us playing EF...

If there ever is a comment.. or question..
I just tell em we can make the bases .. do this and this and that..

And with just that explanation.. they understand.

One of my work pals, said to me the other day. are you still playing that GAY game?! I told him, you say that because you provably sucked at the game, and this is what I get at work sometimes.

Default Movin Chess!

I describe it as moving chess and leave it at that.
They instantly laugh and begin to ridicule it due to the stigma attached to the game (running in circles). Sometimes you have to laugh it off and let them have their say. We get it, and as long as we continue to get TV coverage and bring those who played growing up back in to the hobby at this level I'm satisfied with that.

Default Show the Non-hobbyist

This was the very reason that I created www.electriccoach.com. Based on my analysis, I understand that there are a lot of people in this hobby who do not have high speed Internet in their homes. How many of your friends or colleagues have high speed? Send them to my site. Also go to my YouTube page, which can be reached from the site as well. Yes, I know! You want to represent the hobby from your perspective. Although we have varied styles of playing, there is one phenomenon of the hobby that I know we all agree on; that is “base movement”. That is what the Electric Coach delivers. Best of all its free.

Default Moe's T. O.!!!

Hey Moe! I just realized your T.O. is a hybrid. He looks like a beast!!!

Folks, I believe Biglock started a thread about hybrids a few years ago - forgive me Moe if you did it 1st - and I just gotta point this out for the newbies.

1 BB WR1 "Thunder"
+ 1 ff.com "Freak"
= Thunder Freak!!!

WOW!!! And he's on a frosty rookie!?! Gimme some stats man!

Default True story

I don't know if this response goes here but 1 day my wifes friends came over to play cards, I was in the front room practicing, her friends came in and we spoke, they said what are you doing, I said practicing my EF guys for a upcoming game, they said you still play with this game ? mixed with a couple weird looks, after some words back and forth, my wife stepped up and politely asked her friends to leave, I was stunned to see that, but I did feel good though, (smile).

P.S. true story guys, her friends still come over every weekend to gamble, but they respect this hobby now.

Norbert
