WWSEFL: Week 4 Review
After Week three we only have one remaning undeafted teams, several still looking for their first win, and a log jam out west.
Player of the Week: Tom Brady Brady hasn't been the flashiest quarterback this season, but he picked up his game when he needed to. Facing a tough Miami team, Brady threw for 147 yards and 3 TDs. With all the new weapons around him, New Englands post-season chances depend on Brady's play this year. He will have another big test against Cincinnati (3-1) this week. Biggest Dissapointment: Pittsburghs Offense I never thought I would pick the second ranked offense in the league for this award, but Pittsburgh earned it after last weeks sloppy preformance. Ben Rothlisberger managed only 71 yards passing and no TDs, and Willie Parker was just given the ball seven times. To make matters worse, Pittsburgh goes up against New Orleans (3-1) top ranked defense, who just got off a 21-3 beating of Cleveland. The Steelers need to pick it up this week in order to keep New England in their sights. Biggest Surprise: Central Division Leaders Last season Cincinnati and New Orleans were the two worst teams in the league. After spending the off season revamping their teams, they have gotten to the top of the division using two different methods. Cincinnati has focused their offense around Chris Perry, and when you put 8 in the box Carson Palmer beats you deep. New Orleans defense has given up the least amount of points, and leads in interceptions. These teams wont meet for 3 weeks, but that game is coming up sooner than you think. Whats up next?: Pacific Division Race The top 4 teams in the Pacific Division are seperated by one game, and this week could spread them out. Arizona, Dallas and San Francisco all are going up against teams with at least .500 records, and St. Louis is playing a Green Bay team that could explode at any second. The Pacific has always had the top division, and this year their proving it once again. Go ahead and check everything out at www.leaguelineup.com/wwsefl3 |
