Question Hybrid Football Game/like Some Opinions

I am back to electric football after 30 or more years.

I had an idea after watching some CFL games.

Combine some of the CFL and NFL rules making a hybrid game.

It would play something like this:

The field dimeinsions are those of the CFL with the exception of
endzones which are 15 yards deep with the goal posts placed at
the back of the end zone cutting down on automatic PATS.

Hash marks are widened, where it would open up the passing game
and make field goals more of challlenge being on an angle.

There are 12 men per side with six players eligible to receive the
football on offense.

One man can be in motion towards the line of scrimmage before the
snap.

It is 4 downs and 15 yards for a first.

Once the offense penetrates the opponents 25 yard line the defense
can lineup on the ball, otherwise the defense is a 1/2 yard behind the line
of scrimmage.

Field goals must be returned, or if kicked out of the end zone placed
on the 25 yard line.

The rouge remains where a point is awarded the kicking team if the ball
is not returned out of the end zone.

That's a basic overview, what do you think?

That's something different. The great thing about miniature electric football is you can do what ever you want. If you can get someone else that wants to play that way then it is just that much more fun. It would take some cost to develop the field cover for this and get printed but if it makes the game fun then go for it!

Hi Crusader,

Greetings to you my friend. My name is John but you remember me better as Coach J from the Miggle chatboard. Let me welcome you to the MFF chatboard. You have come to a good place to get your EF questions answered. By the way you can find Anthony Burgess on this chatboard if you have questions about Pass Placement and other questions about the MPFL style of play.

Have a good day and again welcome to the MFF chatboard.

John aka Coach J

Default Wide open form of passing

Hi,

Most rules sets are biased towrds a wide open style of passing with the TTQB being that you have to stop the board to pass, and then many turn and burn after the catch, many attempt passing 95% of the time compared to running the ball.
