Zone blitz! I have my defensive ends drop back into coverage and blitz the two outside linebackers. Another blitz I use is the slot receiver blitz. If the offense has a slot receiver I usually blitz the safety covering him. To cover the slot I send a middle lineback into zone coverage.

good tips
like those ways of getting pressure.....
..... have you ever tried to create a blitz gap .... opposite of creating an running hole where you split the O-line and send in a speed blitzer thru the hole...... |

I have but what ends up happening is a bottle neck. With the style of play my nephew and I use it makes it difficult to do that. Offense pivots then the defense pivots. I like coming from the blindside or delaying a blitz using a zone blit.

zone coverage in done a couple of different ways.
one is to have LB, DB on TTC bases set to either spin or hold in place. they are positioned on the field somewhere in the areas that the WR will run...just like real.... the other way is a moving zone ..where you allow the Wr to run free while you are shadowing him with safety help coming to cut off the pass. |

I like to play a Tampa Two. I have the Mike LB drop back deep with safety coverage over the top of the corners but don't get caught playing this coverage on a run.

yeah, it would be "wholly Moses" up your gut!
mix and match your defense to get the best matchups you want. |
