I actually use a quick play system ranking teams from the previous season in each division. The 2 teams in each division who made the final 16 from the previous tournament get 1st round byes. The other 4 teams from each division play off in the first round. The 2 winners go to the division playoffs. Each division has a 4 team playoff round. The division winners all advance and are seeded 1-4 by biggest margin of victory. The 4 second place teams from each division now playoff for the 2 wildcard spots. The NFL format then takes over from there. My qiuckplay system is a dice type of game that uses charts, home team advantage and team rankings to determine the outcomes. The stronger ranked teams get a slight advantage but the outcomes are usually random. Most of the time the stronger teams prevail but in this tournament there were many early round upsets which allowed many of the expansion teams to advance. Once I am down to the final or Sweet 16 all games go to the field. I play 15 games to determine my overall winner.
