Lynn,
Not sure if you know this, but that exact hotel had EF history. In the beginning of the Miggle tournament, one had to send in a video and four winners were chosen. This was great for the four video winners (Bill and I included...lol) but left everyone else outside looking in. Eventually, Mike and DeLayne decided to slowly open the tournament up to more players. Later, when the tournament actually left Chicago and came to another city for the first time in Cleveland at the Brown's facility, Miggle decided it was time. I organized a small "Cleveland Qualifier" to give people in the region an opportunity to play for one of the three final spots and there was one "open" spot that all else competed for (so three of the final four contestants were already chosen, everyone else competed for the final spot in the final four). The Cleveland Qualifier was held at THIS hotel about two weeks before the actual convention with myself, Dirk Thomas, Joyce Rogers, and others in attendance. The game itself was won by a gentleman known as Roscoe. Kinda cool that you chose that EXACT location...looking forward to attending and actually playing this year (the Jets are DONE)!!! Mark |
