Default Tell me what you think!

I have created a different type passing attack by using the passing stick method. I don't know if this is original, but please let me know. I use the passing stick method, but instead of using a ball target, I use a pendulum football. My point is the receiver is pivoted toward the pass and the defense pivots also. Once the switch is turned on and, if the receiver hits the ball, the switch stays on an he keeps on running. (the receiver will actually run through the football). This has created a really nice game. It helps eliminate the defense just trying to hit the ball. They must also angle some defenders to make a tackle on the catch. It also eliminates the second round of pivots if the pass is caught. Just thought I would pass this method around.

Default Pendulum

I will try to explain what the pendulum is in a few words. The football hangs down from a thread which about chest high to the players. The thread is tied to a long piece of thin wood which I have mounted to a leg. The football is about 20 yards from the leg, so their is plenty of room for all the action. You just let the football hang above the spot of the pass and the player will hit the football, and the ball will swing out of the path of the player. The player can just keep on running.

Default leg

The leg is mounted on a magnet. This type of passing really opens up the game. It definitely makes the game faster!

Let me try one more time.. How does the suspended football stay in place? Im trying to picture it hanging onto?? I can see it on a string then on your "leg" as you call it and then its staying stationary HOW? Is someone holding it above the field? Sorry for all these just trying to understand fully how this works.

Default you have to anyway....

if you are defending properly against any type of stick passing method, a defensive player should be angled to tackle after the catch......I usually have one going for the int. and the other to make the tackle.

The way this is presented, from what I am reading, is that there is somehow more of a chance of a catch and the defender better be ready for a tackle.

If one wants to eliminate the stoppage, then use a ball that is not magnetic, that way the whomever "catches" the ball will run through it as it will slide out of the way.

This diagram shown here can cause some potential problems, ..... like strategically placing the "post" that will impede the defender. Another potential "snag" I see is just that, .................an arm getting snagged on the string/thread.

When we first had a magnetic football for BuzzBall's Pass Simulation sets, we had a long post up from the ball, but what we found was figures were hitting the post before getting to the ball, hence, we shortened the post.

Default New passing game

Wow cool idea gotta be lots of fun,and just think if a player performs poorly you can read him the riot act and then hang him on the spot! That should keep the plastics in line!

Default Football

Hey Weirdwolf, I actually sculpted a football and inserted a tiny rod into the center of the ball. I then threaded the rod. The ball hangs and swings perfectly!!
