Default Just Want to Offer a Word of Thanks...

to the CBSMF Coaches.

I just want to take a moment to say thanks to all that have found it in their time to participate in the inaugural season of the CBSMF League. For many, you are coming into a ruleset that you may feel unfamiliar with. Like I tell everyone who first play under this style of play, just be patient and ask questions. I don't mind helping and many others who have played under this style don't mind either.

There have been many times I have wanted to walk away from being a part of the game, at least from a league standpoint. I personally rather go into my own world of MF and do my own thing. But some of you have openly said "Reg, you are not alone and this will be good for the game". I thank all of you who are finding a little time in your lives to take on playing in this league and taking on the challenges of the rules. You may not even like the rules one bit but at least you're giving it a go.

Before many of you even came on board, I was playing in tourneys and barnstorming across the country trying to get the word out about the game. I would go places to play under various rulesets hoping for those to reciprocate to me. That does not always happen but in the long run, I feel I have been fortunate to get you willing to at least try what I do. Yes, guys in the BAM, the DFW, LAEFL, and the ACEFL know the rules but anyone can win in this style of play. It just takes time to educate yourself, patience to know that you've got to tweak players to do certain functions, and an understanding that we're gonna have fun, cut up, and humor each other at the end of the day.

So thanks for supporting this effort. More information will be seen as we get closer. Continue to get ready for kick-offs all across the country. And if you are not in a league and would like to be a part of this, you are always welcome to play as an Independent.
