Anyone play with weighted teams
I was tweaking my new team to get them to do there assignments when I came across my center who was lightening fast. I wanted to slow him down (and add strength), but instead of tweaking a base I quickly experimented with adding some weight to his base, and then added more weight until he moved like a lineman moves relative to running backs. That got him much more strength too. This got me to thinking, are there guys out there that play with wieghted teams?
If anyone likes to play weighted teams, I'm curious to what weight you like to play with (maybe different weight allowances for different positions?) Do weighted teams add more realism? Also, what techniques are there for adding weight. Jimbo showed me how he had added a thin magnet strip under the players platform and glued it with "kids glue" in order to be able to remove the player later. This is great because low weight (and perimeter weighting if possible) raises the figures moment of inertia and creates a very stable player (same concept as golf club design). I've been playing around with custom figures lately and it has been fun to learn tweaking methods to go along with different weight distribution on the players. To be certain, the player's weight distribution has a MAJOR effect on performance, and when a custom figure is combined with tweaking a base it creates an endless combination of performance attributes. In fact, I've got guys with a low rearward center of gravity that run great with Proline TTCs (which usually tip forward) and a reciever with a forward CG that that has jets but falls forward a lot. That reciever bothered me until I quickly realized he was only diving after the spot passing magnet! Enjoy your Easter Sunday, I'll be watching Tiger go for his 5th green jacket and tweaking my team. anyone else with an opinon on playing with more weight?
Anthony,
do you mind sharing what max weight you choose to play with? I was playing around again tonight and I am finding that as I increase a players weight, the player actually runs more consistently smooth and stable. Then there was a point were the player became much stronger but slower (a fairly realistic tradeoff). I was adding weight to the point of doubling a players initial weight (even though I don't have a scale to get exact measurements). My experiementation really has me wondering if playing the game with more weight would lead to more consistency, realism, and fun. Is there anyone else that has tried playing with more weight? Thanks, Joe |

Call
Give me a call some time , I get off at 1800Hr/6PM
And yes your right , the players run smother and more consistently with stability 100% more so than with none weighted bases . And again yes the game is more realistic and much more fun . You have said what I have been telling the community for years now . And it's not hard to add weight to a base . AB 703-855-6072 cell.
