I started using acrylic paints about a year ago for a couple of different reasons.First, they are really cheap (.44 cents for Apple Barrel) and the color selection is vast.Secondly, they are easier to work with in that they are water based which cuts down on clean up among other things. They aren't as durable as enamel paints, but that can be fixed by clear coating your figure when he is complete. Wal-mart carries a good selection of acrylics as does Michael's crafts

acrylics for solid colors. enamels or games workshop for most metallics, they shine very well. some have suggested ceramcoat gleams metallics(?), i have yet to try those, but a lot of people seem to love the results.

Enamels suck!
They stink, they spill all over, and they get on your skin. Acryllics wash off with soap and water and you can find any color you need at Michaels crafts. I discovered acryllics from my paint mentor Willy Travers. They are better to paint with this time of year as your windows tend to be closed. If you need a particular team color, PM me as I can tell you what colors to buy. Now, off to the store you go... ...and that's all I have to say about that.
