Custom made ef action figs
I'm completely new but have been observing a bit, getting some
ideas. I've purchased some action figs(mini-hulks, wrestlers, and even some d+d guys) cutting, mixing and matching and replacing the heads with the helmeted ones. One kinda cool thing is the moveable arms, which can be up, down, or straight out. I've also placed them on boat bases and have come up with really dominating figures when up against the "normal" figures. Am I whacked:o or is there anyone else doing this? Don't think these guys would be legal, but a team like this would really be a great test for your competetive squads. AND a lot of fun, too. |

Hi Bill,
Greetings to you my friend. I hope you are doing well. You have probably discovered how the hobby has changed over the years especially in the area of custom figures. It took some getting used to but now I only play with custom figures on my teams. There are quite a few people in the hobby who make custom figures. I will send you a PM and go more into detail. Have a good day and feel free to ask any additional questions. John aka Coach J Last edited by Coach_J : 04-08-2009 at 10:54 PM. |

Bill you're not the only one...
Quote:
There are a lot of creative guys in our hobby just like yourself, so never feel like you're crazy or whacked when you're doing something out of the "norm". About 4 years ago I got a team from Bill Porche where he molded Football figures that were combined with parts and appendages from different mini action figures. Around that same time frame, Chris Robinson created the concept of moveable football figures. He took his custom figures, gave them several points of articulation, and designed them to move. Thanks to his past innovations, almost every coach in the Tidewater area now has moveable (or poseable) men on their teams. I'll put up some pictures of a moveable man that were previously on this message board before they got accidently deleted. Bill, just so you know... if ideas like this make you feel a littled whacked. There's a boatload of us (in the hobby) who are whacked out with you. LOL!!! Peace, Don Smith |

Check out this thread. There are others in the Locker Room area as well that have been made by just the process you are talking about. http://www.miniaturefootball.com/for...ad.php?t=11420
