I need help with college team colors

Hello everybody, in testers paint only, can any of you please help me with these teams and the colors I should use for them.

ohio state, Lsu, usc, louisville, wisconsin, auburn, rutgers, texas, notre dame, oregon, tennessee, virginia tech.

Hey Norb, a lot of times, you'll SEE different shades of the same color and think yours is wrong. What I do is, I take 4 or 5 stiff arm dudes and paint them with the different shades to see which one I LIKE BEST! Then go for it. The best that I could figure for the teams you listed are:

• OSU = gloss red (jerseys), gloss silver (helmets) and lt ghost gray (pants).
• LSU* = gloss yellow (helmet and pants) and gloss white (jerseys). They ONLY wear their dark jerseys when the other team wears their whites at home.
• LOU & WISC* = gloss red and white
• UA = white, orange and flat sea blue
• RUT = dark red, metallic red (helmets) and white
• TEX = ???
• ND = midnight blue and champagne gold
• ORE* = green metal flake (helmets), flat beret green and bug yellow unis
• TEN = ???
• VT* = dark red or burgundy metal flake

*indicates I have painted this team or at least tested the color. -Jimbo

On the USC, what color should I use.

I don't know all of the colors but i can tell you to try the next available color between red and burgundy. That will give you the right one.

Beautiful spreadsheet man, awesome work, Mike you and Bill wanna talk about enamels and stuff, don't laugh dude, but my 1st team back into the hobby was painted using my wifeys fingernail polish, I am not kidding man, I was so in a rush to play with these guys I counldn't wait (LOL), ofcourse they all nailed me about it. smile

Hi how ya doing?

Here's a couple I could comment on:

Wisconsin: For gloss red I really like Model Master "guards red". Its a perfect red for the Badgers. I actually used this for my Ohio State and it looks good too, but I would probably go with something just slightly more Crimson for OSU next time.

Ohio State- for the helmets I used testors silver gloss for the helmets and Model masters gloss gull gray for the pants. I was very happy with these colors.

Auburn- for the blue I really like Model Masters Insignia Blue (this is what I used for my Michigan team too!) Auburn has the same navy blue as Michigan. It is matte and looks great either matter or with a semi-gloss coat. You could potentially use this for ND too.

For USC I used Model Masters Insignia Red (it is matte). I haven't put a clear coat on it yet, but I'm satisfied with this color match.
