Building a League:Nothing Funner!
If you play in a league with me, you're bound to have fun! I will not accept the seriousness of win at all cost! Some guys take this too serious for me. Yeah, I want to win and I consider myself a great competitor but at the end of the day, it's about the game and getting away from the stressor which is called life and doing things I like to do! Play miniature football.
Building leagues are fun. Create the hype, the drama, the characters, and give them a good set of rules, some props, and add a little substance and you can do some spectacular things! Being rigid and running things like a prison system will drive some of your most passionate guys away. Everything in prison is understandably set up on a strict regiment and for coaches who have lives outside of MF, it just will not work (at least for me). Yeah, I would understand we've got to play our games but I want to have the freedom to come when I can and go when I want to! At the center of what I do is the stadiums and the hype around it. If I can not play in a league that allows stadiums, props, and other things, don't ask me to be in that league. For marketing the game to others and showing that it is not on the level of "just a toy" comes the understanding that they take the game serious! They even have the stadiums of the team! It is the #1 eye catcher. Add a little substance with rules that are fast-paced, action filled, and challenging, and you're almost there. Bring in the characters, the personalities and let them hype up the game and you've got the makings of one heck-of-a-league! It will attract others to it because now, everybody want to play with them. It's just a natural thing in wanting to compete. You have got to have energy guys that stir the pot and make everyone want to be a part of it. It's nothing funner in the game. Reg |
