Default 38 cents a week- 5 cents a day

I recently has an inquiry as to why we were "up in people's pocket's" for $20.00 a year for nothing in return.

MFCA Members packet for the basic membership level includes:
a members sticker, 6 cards to hand out to promote the hobby to new coaches, a complimentary edition of the magazine and a welcome letter with links to companies offering deals to MFCA members.

Throughout the year, (your choice) you have full access to the website including the trading forum, the opportunity to enter other events, attend a convention, download 4 magazines, etc..

Even If all you do, is nothing more than login to the website once a week, it seems to me that you are getting your $20 back.

Am I wrong? Is 37 cents a week to much to ask for what we offer?

Geesh, maybe I am just sitting on a high horse, but I can't even buy a good strong tweaked offensive line from the cheapest tweaker I know for $20.00 shipped.

C'mon, really!!!?!

P.S. I should never have to beg anyone to join or spend 1 -2 hours a week sending out reminder emails to renew....

Somebody tell me the truth!?

Default The Truth shall set you free.

The truth is, you are doing one helluva job running this board and association. Corey is the "Face Of The Hobby", but easily, you are the Face of the MFCA.
Keep doing the good things you do, which are much appreciated. It is admirable that you give your time and efforts to something you love, and you spread that quality and feeling to us all.
As with anything, dont let the few, speak for the masses.
So take your own $20 and get a bottle of whiskey, and sit back and feel the love and support for all you do.

The MFCA is value - nuff said.

Default Wolf, I definitely agree

Here's my take on this. If someone has ever looked at anything and used it as an inspiration from copying the instructions to creating a pose just like the originator, essentially that information was gained via this site, which does not pay for itself so easily.

I have various post that I know have been viewed over 20,000 times and I freely give of that information. Now, the average company and person would never do that because it would harm their chances of profiting. I am not like that. Maybe that's the innocence of what I do. The point is, people would not have that opportunity to copy things or find out things from experts if they did not have open access to see what's available.

Then you get the ones who think you suppose to share everything freely and if you don't, they slam you. Yet, they never invest in keeping things up and running. They just think it's their right to have that information. I'd understand if you're talking $200 but you're talking $20.00. Most of us spend that on nic-nacks in the game of miniature football.

That's one reason I told Wolf, just take all my post down. To me, there is a lack of appreciation for the site and for those who freely give of their creations, time, and energy. No one should have to beg for the money. I understand it is a choice but look at this site like your house. This is a place you come to dwell, talk and argue. In your house, you do have to pay some rent or eventually, you will be kicked out. That could happen to us as things are not free, even information.

Just my take....

Reg

Default $20

Well, as I had learned as a child, I can only speak for myself. I can see plenty of value in this chatboard to learn, share, argue, laugh, support others in crisis, oh I can go on forever...NO, I DO NOT see a problem with paying $20.00 !!!

Sincerely and truthfully,

Joe Ram

Default Works for me

This is the mother ship of the fleet. Pretty much everything and everyone involved in this hobby either comes out of here or is somehow tied in to this site. For the steady stream of info, ideas, and accessability to the tools of miniature football, it's well worth it.

Considering all you get (the magazine itself is worth $20 a year) and all that this organization does for the hobby, $20 is a steal.

Wolf, don't sweat it.

Default a suggestion.....

..... offer to refund his money and tell him we are sorry but we can't please everyone, .............and wish him well and send him on his way.... ...........we are small enough and don't need that kind of small minded thinking in this hobby.......................and YOU don't need that kind of headache!

5 cents a day??? Holy crapolly. It's no wonder I'm so broke all the time. It's a good thing my wife doesn't check in on this site. If she ever found out I was blowing that king of dough she'd skin me alive. Just my 2 cents. Dang, now that's 7 cents I've blown today...
