In my world of customs, not two figures are...
exactly the same.
I am in the process of making Top 10 running backs for some customers and try as I may, the backs are never quite the same. I can get 90% accuracy but some small change is always seen. For me, that's a good thing and it shows the uniqueness of the custom player. If I did the same exact player over and over again, it would become just a stock figure for me. But to be able to re-generate something quite similar to the real deal gives me a certain high but it also shows the differences. All my adult life, I've been trained in understanding science using physics, chemistry, and the various scientific formulas. Even in miniature football, I apply those principles and can see how with a hand turned one way or leaning out another way how this could play a key role in whether a player is able to get to a QB or not. Aerodynamics, momentum, and impact are phenomena associated with these little figures if you really study these things. For the ordinary layman, it does not matter. For me, it does because I like to have the right athlete (base + player) for every position. But when you are doing customs, it rarely ever is the same player. And that's fine by me. Shown below are some customs I done. You may see the original runners in some along with a re-creation. Reg |
