MFCA CONVENTION
I had a blast. I met some of the coolest cats ever, ambassadors of this hobby, true gentleman. I was able to see some fellows whom I had the pleasure of making prior acquaintance, Morgan Scott (one of the coolest cats on the scene for real, this cat is ACES), Will Travers (AMAZING fellow we have get up here to Sixburgh for the next FANBITZ at Heinz Field), Kevin Boddie (one of the nicest cats in the hobby, his passion is unmatched), Adrian Baxter (one of the most level headed cats I've met in this hobby, thoughtful, and sincere), Darrian Ross (always a pleasure ), CorEy Mr National FOTH (what else can I say about this man that you don't already know, my wife kept asking me 'is he the football player you met?' DYNAMITE!), Jim Davis (solid man, solid player, funny as hell), Greg Hardmon (Steeler fans UNITE, sold me one of the most beautiful Steeler teams I've ever seen), Joe and Zack (always a pleasure, you are one of the most upstanding gentlemen in the hobby today and your son has the same traits for a champ begat a champ! ), Manhattan Ray Fanara (brings his medical bag for every tournament and heals the ills of everyone ), John Martin (a true gentleman, any time a Browns fan makes time for a Steeler fan you know the person has depth ), Mark Klingbeil (one half of one of the most innovative pillars this community is built upon). Mark Francis (one of the best unknown painters in the hobby, you gotta post more).
I met for the first time many people who I've been in correspondence with over the last few years, some by PM, others by post, and putting a face to the name really brings it home and makes the connection solid. Chris Fields (one of the most talented figures in the hobby today, his work is inspiring and maddening at the same time, many times have I looked at his work and wanted to whip my brushes out the window ), David Roller (your boards are beautiful, THANK YOU for your contribution to this hobby), Optimus Prime (man, those Pats are SWEET!!! You gotta get some pics up on the board of that Brandon Marshall too ) Frank Jacobs (dude, you're f'n RIPPED), MEGAWATTZ (Ric Flair says WHOO! those figures and boards are more incredible in person, simply AMAZING!!!), Will Shropshire (a pleasure my friend, thank you!), Tim Young (Thank you for the support, it was a pleasure to meet you my friend, I hope to see you down the road at future tournaments), Lynn (Mr President, I'm honored to have met you during your tenure. ) Matt Culp (really glad to finally meet you, what you do for this organization is remarkable, HATS OFF!) Al Dunham (My mentor of obscure things, you are an amazing cat, it was my pleasure ), Chris Markham (you are a funny, funny man, I wish we could have got that beer, next year!), Mantaray Dre (your tireless promotion of this hobby makes me tired Good Stuff, THANK YOU!!!), Marcelo (all the way from sunny LA, nice to meet you man), Ken Allen (SWEET K-A!!! It was a pleasure my friend, you are solid to the marrow, SALUT!!!) Don Lang (you are a cool cat with a cool disposition, one mellow fellow, hit me up anytime!) Simmie (champ, The Great Lakes CRUSHER, you're due to expand into the rest of the lower 48 like your brethren, GLEFL one of the baddest cliques in the country TICAL! I MISSED YOU NORBERT ) Steve Martin (MAN, you are one of the nicest cats I've ever met, dude, your smile is electric, you truly dig what you do and it shows!), Michigan Joe Allore (it was really awesome to finally meet you, your are a true inspiration, and truly get this hobby, it was great to watch you and Steve play your game), K-Lo (finally after all this time, at this convention I felt like I stood in the shadow of giants, CONGRATS ON ANOTHER MY FRIEND!!!), RD (a stonebuster of the 1st degree, it was a pleasure my man!), RJ (A pleasure to meet you finally and your lovely fiance, you cats get DOWN in TEXAS! My first time seeing the box in play and I was thoroughly impressed, you cats THROW DOWN FOR REAL!!!), REGGIE (finally, you gotta know how much it meant for me to sit down with you and pick your mind, you are a huge inspiration and are a monumental building block in this hobby's history and hopefully its future). I'm not the best with names and there were a few cats whose names I unfortunately cannot remember, but I thank you for your kindness and support and I look forward to meeting you again, so I can remember your names THANK YOU MFCA!
