Getting Schooled by Beenutt
Hello Everyone,
Yesterday evening I had the priviledge to scrimmage against Beenutt on his new Watts Tennessee board . I am just getting back into this hobby and havent played against anyone with tournament experience. Bryan beat me in 1 half 14 to 0 but I had some chances to score but didnt use the TTB quarterback as he did and my players came open but ran by the markers as I was using the stick method of passing. I had some good strength and speed against his team but I see Ive got lots of coaching and passing skills to work on. I am not discouraged one bit but rather chomping at the bit to play again and see how much I can improve on my play . Wow this is very addicting. But in the 4 months that Ive gotten back into this hobby I dont think I did that poorly against someone with Bryans skills and experience. Ill see what he thinks as he may reply to this post ? I just hope I can compete as well as he does and with carry oneself with class and be as helpful to coaches who are not as familiar with the game as he is. Thank you so much for the lesson and your time I thoroughly enjoyed myself even though I couldnt cross the goal line...but there is always another day and maybe my players will be up to the challenge.. thanks again for a place to express ourselves and have fun... Hi Joel,
Greetings to you my friend. No this is not Beenutt but Coach_J. I hope you are doing well. To begin with I am glad that you had a chance to scrimmage against Beenutt and had a good time. Use the scrimmage as a valuable learning experience. Guess what you did well. You lost by a score of 14-0. The very first game I played after getting back in the hobby was a 40-0 loss. Simply put I got spanked. The coach who beat me was a gentleman as well and showed me what I needed to do to improve my game. I used the 40-0 defeat as the best thing that could have happened to me in the hobby. One of the biggest things I learned was the value of loopers. Don't feel because I learned that I also needed to work more on my passing game and still do. My guess is that you will continue to improve and of course don't hesitate to ask questions. Oh yeah you are correct this hobby can be very addicting (smile). Have a good day and again I am sure you will continue to improve as time goes by. Coach_J |

a great experience
Announcement to all: we have an up and coming coach that will definitely be near the top of this hobby in a very short amount of time : Joel Prichart! He has just been back into the hobby for about 4 months and already has learned to tweak with the best.
Joel, I had a great time scrimmaging the other night. You've got tremendous strength and you have speed everywhere! All you need to do is pass. Once you get that passing technique down, you will be unstoppable! It will be fun watching a newbie develop into a champ. I also look forward to having you in our dixie league! Seawall Brawl watch out for Joel_p1! beenutt

Beenutt Scrimage
Hello,
Thanks for the encouragement Bryan, even though I know I have a long way to go. The passing is there I just didnt try it the other night with the TTB quarterback and I should have. Ive been passing with the balls you gave me and while I was already pretty good with the old tudor ball the EDWF ball is awesomely deadly. So get ready for the Gamecocks to go the ******** and Fire Offense very soon. I just wish you didnt point the crosshairs in my direction for any future tournaments .. hahahaha.I thank you for your kind words and appreciate all the tips and knowledge you share. P.S. just for future reference my last name is spelled Pritchard. Not a problem just as long as you call me to play..anytime please. Have a wonderful day. Joel |
