Default Tweaking Bases- try it!

I know that this chat board has many seasoned pros, but I just wanted to write this post for anyone relatively new to the hobby like myself who really enjoys it, but who hasn't really ventured into tweaking bases. I say GO FOR IT because its actually a lot of fun and its a great part of the hobby.

I got my new craftsman pliers from Sears and got to work trying to expand my tweaking skills over the last few days (that tool works great compared to the other tools I've tried). After some pointers from some seasoned vets Jimbo and Ron C, I experimented myself and got some very good results for both speed and strength bases! By tweaking bases for various figures (each with different center of gravity) I had a ball working on my new team. I'm not going to sit here and say my tweaking ability can contend with the "pros", but I sure saw huge performance improvements in my players and I enjoyed being able to devlop my own team.

I still like the Pro Line strong rookie bases for their good "out of box" performance, but now I'm hooked on tweaking the bases to maximize their potential.

Regards,
Joe
