WHERE WERE THE STICKERS ON OHIO STATES HELMETS

COACHES/OHIO STATE BUCKEYE FANS.

i was watching osu vs navy and noticed not one player had any stickers on his helmet. That is what makes there entire uni look cool. So the quesh is. (IM NOT SURE SO THAT IS WHY IM ASKING)

1) Does each player start each season with a clean (NO STICKERS) helmet and earn them along the way ?

2) If quesh 1 is the case, how are they earned ?

3) I HOPE NOT BUT, Did they decide not to use any stickers this season ?

***Like i said im not sure how this works, this is why im asking ?


PS/ I kind of like the wings on oregons jerseys. They should keep that green and yellow look though !!!!!

The Buckeye Leaf is awarded for each good play executed by a team member. The helmets start out clean and are gradually festooned with leaves as the players perform over the course of the season.

BUCKEYE LEAVES
A round white decal, about the size of a quarter, with a green
depiction of a buckeye leaf is applied to Ohio State football helmets
for big plays and consistency on the fi eld. This tradition started
in 1968 when football coach Woody Hayes and longtime trainer
Ernie Biggs changed the look of the Ohio State uniforms. Many
of the sports at Ohio State incorporate Buckeye Leaves into their
equipment and uniforms.

thanx guy's for the clarafication. Now that im thinking about , i probably never saw an ohio state opening game. I guess your telling me next week when they play usc (I THINK) i will see a few leaves on the helmet. Those leaves alway made that uni look unique.

Have you ever seen anyone on here with an OSU team with leaves on the helmet.

1) Would the leaves be just too small to apply to a figures helmet ?

2) I guess a decal strip could be made with several leaves on the strip. When the strip is placed on the helmet, the leaves will be spaced out on the strip.

***Someone could have it here buy i've never seen a picture of it. I have a nice looking buckeye team i got from some tourney years ago. (coach was selling many team out of a bag). NO LEAVES ON THE HELMET THOUGH.
I may see if mike beal can make a strip with the leaves on it.
