Default Forum Change Reminder

On September 30 the following changes will go into effect.

1) A new face to the miniaturefootball.org main page will "hopefully" be up and ready, that will present a modern, slick, bright and informative page dedicated to showing the new coach or passerby what miniature football is and has become. It will include many of the features already in place and will show a photo of the day pulled from the locker room forum, a coach chat, tips, FAQ, news, polls and much more that will help promote the hobby. It will also have a Ustream area that will allow leagues or MFCA Members who have the internet capabilities and camera to broadcast their games live on the front page of the website!

2) Users
-Unregistered guests to the forum will only be able to view the Taigate Party, Rules World and FAQ sections of the forum.
-New registered users from their date of signup will be given a 30 day all access trial period and will have access to all forums except the Trading Forum and the Download Center. After the 30 days, they will need to sign on or they will be set back to the guest level.
-Users currently registered on the forum who are NOT MFCA Members will keep their current status until Sept. 30, 2009. Anyone not signed on as a MFCA member at that time will be switched to guest status.
-MFCA Members will experience NO changes.

Please take note of these changes.

Default I gotta ask...

what the reason is for this. Trying to get more members to MFCA? I'm just a teenager and can't pay for a membership, so I'm a bit disappointed.

Anyone, 18 or below is considered a MFCA member and will not lose their status on the forum. I will just need to get your birthdate and we can move you to MFCA member status. Email that to me so that I can add you to the records. coach@miniaturefootball.org When you turn 19, you would then need to become a paid member.

Im not sure how you want this set up and it all depends on the cost to operate the streams. In reality, it is time for something like this for the MFCA.
Alot of major websites have some form of streaming for the passer by's.
+1 it should be very fun, interesting and instructive to follow good electric football games "on tv".

Perhaps the costless and easy way to creating live streaming video or webtv is to use modern webtv systems. Search "web tv" on google, there is several ways to produce live webtv without a lot of hardware or money.

EDIT : I should read more carefully, Weirdwolf was speaking about "Ustream" wich is a possible solution for that subject.

Default HEY WOLF.

wolf,

The streaming video is a great idae for the front page.
Im not sure if you were speaking of streaming entire games. If so, maybe various coaches who play different styles can submitt to you there game for review on a rotating basis to see if it can make it on the tube. Coaches can prouced a game of the style they play to add to the board. Maybe a passer by can click on for starters 2 to 4 different style games just to see the variety.

1) 1 shootout style game

2) 1 mpfl game

3)1 great lakes style game

4)1 DSEFL STYLE GAME.

**a quick tweaking and passing overview so they understand even more

** I dont remember where but i saw a program on tv where a woman set up a web store. When you clicked on the icon, the products she was selling (from her home) looked like you were in a store at the mall. Tee shirts hanging on the wall, items on tables, etc etc. I was wondering if something like that could be done here. clothing section, hardware section The right(tweeking tools ) . It was pretty cool how she set it up. I guess it was some sort of vitual mall prgram or something. I guess you create the room with dimension and all and add as you go
