Proline question
Coaches,
Do any of you use Proline's TTC bases? I find that the Proline TTC's are very unstable and I've not had any success in tweaking them for anything. Most (All?) coaches I know just use the dials in the Miggle shells. I do this and this leaves me with a bunch of useless Proline shells. Are any of you using them successfully? Have you had any success tweaking them? D

With the right figure, they can produce speed that is off the charts. That is, to use the Proline TTC with its own dial. The trick is to use a rear-weighted figure to help avoid the tip monster. I suggest back-weighted figures with a fairly wide foot stance. Keep both feet and the majority of the figure's mass/weight rear of center and it works very well. By doing this, you can have great closing speed for Free Safeties, Dime Backs and Kick Coverage.

Question??
Mr. Pratt,
Are u talking about Proline stong TTC shells with proline strong dials for speed or the speed one's...I'll have try this, perhaps with that Proline "dude" that stands up strait up, way on the back of the platform, kinda looks like an alien guy... Joe Ram |

Cut prongs shorter you get lower center of gravity
it becomes useable and somewhat balanced.

I'm at Jim's house so that's why you see his name. I happen to be working with them and found a unique way to take advantage of the design flaw. I will not post until the test is complete but you may want in on this.

Wow!
The response to this post is turning out better than I thought. I've also received a couple of PM's addressing this problem.
Mike, Karim, thanks for your input. Ken...I'll get with you later dawg. Since you're logged in as Jim I wonder what's his response. Anyone else?

i like the way the Pro Line TTC bases perform in zone pass coverage. They "circle" faster and at a smaller turning radius than standard Miggle TTCs without falling down. Two of my best safties are on these and I use rear weighted figures like Mike Pratt suggests. Good stock figures would be hati repro tackle or wide arm figure or FF.net crippler or Singeltary figure (for reference).
I definately tighten the dial using a technique of mashing the edges on the center peg of the shell (to spread it out and tighten fit to dial). I believe Norbert posted on how to do that a while back
