With 4 games played and a current point total of 50, Ed Morgans is back on top of the MFCAL!
Jim Davis is close behind and is still considered the league favorite with a current point total of 41.
Damon Lucas holds the 3rd spot with 33 points but that is with 4 games played,

Watch out for Chris Fields! He holds the 4th spot but has only played 2 games and has a whopping 25 points. At that rate he could easily catch the leaders in his next 2 games.

Thanks to all of you who are on-board! Anyone in the MFCA can jump up quickly with a good weekend of games and grab those top positions from these heavy hitters!

Remember you have till July 1 to play 8 games and then there are the ALL IMPORTANT games played by the opponents you have beaten as they will gain you valuable quality win points at the end of the season that can propel someone right up to the top spot.

Once you beat someone, do all you can to make sure they play their next 7 games and that they win them. Its to your benefit!

Default Just a Reminder.

Both coaches must agree that the game counts in the MFCAL. Please get their consent prior to playing or posting. Thanks!

As far as I know in our league, and I've asked, every game between two MFCAL coaches counts as a match. (Note: 2 of our 8 aren't members - shameful!)

But if people are complaining, happily take my name off the list for good - it really doesn't matter to me.

Just a reminder Ed. The setup you have in your league is advantageous to all coaches. Keep in mind that only eight games are counted. I know we play 16 so eight won't count. I think that's were the consent gets a little sticky. Which eight games are counted? Unless of course you are all playing eight games then it would work out fine.

No worries. I hope my first response wasn't too terse. Had a long day.

We play 10 games in our league, but as I mentioned, 2 of the coaches aren't members. So, in my case, they are in the other division, so I only play them once. So I have an even 8 games - which would be the case for Darrian, Sean Carter, and Larry Sharpe, as well.

Now, even though I'm the league statistician, I do not post other games' results in the entry mode. I feel that's up to the individual coaches.

In the other division, since only 2 of the 4 our members, and division opponents play each other twice (and non-division opps. play each other once), they get 6 possible MFCAL games. So they would have to find 2 others - though I think all of them play in multiple leagues (where as, I don't. BMEFA is my only league and honestly, the only games I get all year long).

But no, no one in our league would get more than 8 possible games because the schedule wouldn't allow it.

That's not considering playoffs. I think there should be special consent before any playoff game, because clearly, there's so much more riding on those games in the home league for those coaches. People might not want those to be MFCAL for just that reason - and that's more than understandable.

One thing I know for sure ... once everyone gets playing ... I ain't gonna be in the Top 20.

Ed
