USING THE PASSING BAR.
COACHES,
If your interested in playing in the MPFL, make friends with the passing bar. It's the most unique invention in quarterback play behind the los. It is the ulrimate in scrambling and qb escapability. YOU CAN 1) Place the passing bar wherever you want before the snap ut to 12 yards behind the line of scrib. This enable the qb to drop back to the bar and hold him in position. 2) Have your qb in the shotgun position at any depth you want up to the 12 yards limit. HE CAN , be placed in front of the bar, or behind the bar. 3)during the next stop, HE CAN. either throw the ball, or the bar can be moved in any direction withing the 12 yard depth range. Placing the passing bar down in another area and pointing your qb to run to that bar signifies 1)rolling out 2)scrambling 3)moving back up in the pocket place the bar wherever you want your qb to run to. *** Reason being, lets say your recievers are not quite open on a paticular stop and a blitzing defender is coming towards the qb. You place the bar down away from the rush and point you qb at the bar to scrable, hold his position as he buys time for the wr's to get a little more open. ** The passing bar can be any length you desire to make it. IT WOULD BE WISER TO MAKE A SHORTER BAR AND HAVE YOUR QB ON A BASE THAT RUNS STRAIGHT. If the qb runs past the bar behind the line of scrim and goes past the 12 yard limit. The result will be a sack. If a defender touches the bar while the qb is on it, that will result in a sack. So you see, the shorter the bar, the less of a chance a defender has to touch it. JUST MAKE SURE YOUR QB IS ON A FAST STRAIGHT RUNNING ROOKIE BASE. MANTARAYDRE
