Default Broncos paint help

Hi,
I'm trying to find the right acrylic paint color to match the blue on the broncos uniforms and helmets from the 70's & 80's.

Thanks

It seems to be very close to a Cobalt Blue (AB)...But if you can wait I'm sure some other folks will offer up a few different options.Flash the Bat signal to Decal Master

Mike,

The color for the old denver helmets is Apple Barrel - Bright Blue.

Now, you'll notice that the blue on the uniforms is darker. If you are painting from head to toe, then use Apple Barrel - Too Blue for the stripes. If you are using decals, then disregard.

Default good points DM

seeing the color changes are good point to remember when detailing.

Some teams jerseys are one shade while the helmets are another shade....

Right you are. Painting is tricky because photo references have often been altered and are not what they appear to be. The best way to be certain of a color is to simply head over to your local jersey shop and see for yourself. This served me well particularly when mixing paint for the Eagles. Show me two Eagles photos where the jersey colors match.

I have really enjoyed the trial and errors of developing my own paint pallete and love to share my discoveries with the community.
