NFL STRIKES AGAIN
COACHES,
The saints fans and the city of N.O. LEANS are upset becuase they refer to the saints as "who dat nation". Apparently, THE NFL claims that they own that saying. So if there are tee shirts or whatever made, they want there cut. It doesn't suprise me being that the saints are in the super and can sell a zillion of these shirts or any other merchandise. There are those who secretly say playing in the NFL is great but it is like being in a prison camp. They understand it is there league but the control and greed is unbelievable. NOW, I DONT BLAME PLAYERS FOR MILKING AND ASKING FOR EVERY DIME THEY CAN GET !!! MANTARAYDRE

Last year the 'League of No Fun' sent a few goons into Pittsburgh to harass independent print shops, what a joke, Goodell and his ilk are scum.
They want to charge $250 for a jersey stitched in China, HA! Jokers |

Greed.......
NFL
N-needs F-funds' -( $$$$$$$ ) L-league Seems like they are after everyone now-a-days.It's already affected several vendors in our hobby.I understand 'copy-right" laws and such, but come on,NO ONE,in this hobby, that has been approached by the Needs Funds' League, is going to make a fortune or retire on their particular line of service(s).We are "chump-change" in the big scheme of things- $$$$$$$$$$$ We've all heard of the "trickle-down" effect. We'll I'm guessing before too terribly much longer that the NFL will trickle down to guys that paint teams and make field gear, etc, etc, etc. Enjoy it while you can. These services may not be around for much longer.Back to the "dots" on the helmets;crooked pants & sleeve stripes. The list goes on but maybe, looking back in retrospect, those were the simpilest times in this hobby...... Yes, well, we Orleanians know how to deal with that sort of situation. Almost immediately after the NFL sent out its cease-and-desist letters, the T-shirt printers targeted immediately began printing more "Who Dat" T-shirts, while Sen. David Vitter sent a threatening letter to Roger Goddell and Rep. Charlie Melancon started both written and online petition drives. Faced with what was ballooning into a PR nightmare on the cusp of what is bound to be a very highly watched Super Bowl, the NFL backed down. They clarified their position along much more narrow lines and dropped any claim to the phrase "Who Dat" as their property.

Amazing. A government official was actually prompt and smart in response, and took care of an issue quickly. Who woulda thunk?
