Default Making of the Gophers

I decided to attempt the MN Gophers in their new all white uniforms for the Miggle convention next year. One of the most difficult decals for decal makers to make is the piping on these new uniforms for any team. I decided to paint them.

In these pics you'll see the 1st steps-which is just painting the skin tones and the color of the piping and the helmets. Then onto painting the uniform around the piping. Touching up the skin tones, then touching up the piping width and onto painting the, accessories, shoes and the platform.

After 10 days of painting I was able to decal them which took another 5 days. Why 5? Well, on the back of the jersey I didn't leave enough room for the numbers to fit along with the piping. I had to cut out each number, and hold the decal up to the jersey, and then paint the jersey color(white) in the area of the piping so the number would fit. I had to do this for 75% of the figures.

Enjoy

Default Cool!

Love the progression and how crisp they looked at the finish

All time team? I see Marion Barber. Did you make an Eric Decker figure?

I love the uniforms and paint job.

Love the step by step work on these.

Helps to see how cleaning up lines can be done - even with white.
