Number of players Revisited.
whats the least number of players you can use and have a competitive team.
ive always thought it was 16. you obviously need relativly straight running guys for special teams. so if your linemen are pretty straight, you could use some of them on kickoffs. on a minimal squad, your recievers should all be able to get at least 50 yds downfield before going out of bounds. also, your RB's and cornerbacks and QB should be halfway straight runners. by having a few more than 11 guys on your team, it opens you up for a couple of specialist, like "loopers"- which probably wont do well on a kick team .ive always tried to have a straight running center, and as you go left and right from center, they will have slight natural arching tendancies. 1 WR should veer left, 1 should veer right. TE should be relatively straight. remember, a straight, properly tweaked TTC base can add tons of GOOD too your team, by actually using the dial. whats your minimum number and why. |

Just need 2. One the size of a GI Joe with a base to match, and another regular size guy to run in his wake.....

Minimum number of players
19 is the least I have used to get a good team with offensive specialists and defensive specialists for solitaire play using just the standard bag of 19 buzzball figures.
That's using the 5 OL for the offensive line and defensive line, the 4 DL for Linebackers and Defensive backs, the 2 CVR for conerbacks and then the remainder for offensive specialists, 2 QB, 2 WR1, 2 WR2, 2 RB.

I'd say 26
2 qb's: Stationary Running 3 rb's Straight Sweep left Sweep right 1 te Receiving 3 wr's Fast, 2 posts, one deap threat 5 o linemen Strong, relatively straight 4 dl Strong, not slow, one hooks right, left, one barely hooks left, and one right 4 lb One is straight and strong, one hooks slightly left, one slightly right, and one that can be audibled to play zone coverage or cover a receiver 2 cb's both relatively strong and fast, "sticky", locks onto receivers 2 s's both can track down a receiver after the catch, can go against some receivers if needed, and can spin to play zone. wow. its so kool to see peoples different perspectives on this. in league play where they use clocks, if you are not on your top game, less players will help out. i think it is just an amasing display of art when a coach has 30-40-50 players, and can just line up different players and still get it right.
