Father son league...

Well Its not quite solitiare but if you ask me its just as good if not better...this year I will have my first father/son league with my youngest Aric "Cool Aj jr" Johnson...His passion for the game is like no other for a 4 1/2 year old. He plays everyday even if its just testing to see if the man can run 100 yards.
He now understands and knows all positions and is even ready for a 60 second play clock. Right now we only run, but its still fun.
We will be taking a page from the Klingbeils book and he will run the NFC wiith Dallas as his primary team and I will be the AFC with the Steelers as my primary team.
When its and NFC vs NFC team he gets to chose who he wants to be. When its NFC vs AFC we run our conference.
Because we are playing the entire NFL season and his short attention span at 4 yrs old..LOL...we are playing 2 possessions each of 4 plays. Most points or yards win. Extra points are automatic.
Each half the teams will start at the 20 yard line. If a team is stopped after their attempt from the 20, the opposing team may accept the ball where it is if they are close to the endzone to attempt a better chance of scoring or take a 40 yard punt to have a better chance of getting more yards.

We started the base draft yesterday and have about 20 teams to base up. We also need to get the Ravens and Titans...

We may be trying to create some type of magazine and would like to have this as a part of it.

I will be gettin' back into this with all the guys on here who do solitaire and we can share ideas on how to do this and keep active.

My son and I are also working ona father son league.

I collected a bunch of hati teams and we held a "draft" basically putting one player from each team into a bag and picking one up..thats your team... we each have 6 teams to play for the season.

It should be fun.

I may have been sort of distant and in the background but the Shootout style is always something I refer back to...I wanted my son to learn how to set up fast but still learn...i didnt think at 4 he could do it...once he gets a little better im going to put it on video so the guys can see that a 4 yr old is showing them up on the set up clock...LOL...should be interesting..
My wife is taking plenty of pics so we will make it nice for the magazine and website...Im also gonna be doing a write up each week to re-cap the games...Aric may do the "ESPN" video re-cap...LOL

Im excited about getting back to this type of play with my son...

Rick, playing with your son is going to be fun no matter what...Its just so different from the normal type of play...My son beat me for the first time and he was hyped...
I think we will do the type of draft you do since we have so many teams...we have tweaked based from coaches all over...Adrian Baxter, Norbert, Jim Davis, Lomax and many more...so these are not your ordinary bases...His Dallas team is packed with Jim Davis bases and he ran all over my team...

I cant wait to get off so we can get back to the draft tonight...
This weekend the girls are going shopping..we are getting chips and wings and gonna make a day of it...
