Why Don't Leagues Use What Was Given to You?
You know, it took a lot of work researching, learning, and teaching people how to use this Internet TV. My hope was that people would spread the word to others and thus, create a MF Network. I wonder why more people do not even try to use it? It's nice to read about league games but it would be very nice to see how leagues play the game, in living color. Is it because we don't see no use in it, or it's more work than what it's worth, or is it something we let the innovators do and we try to improve upon that?
You have no idea the recruiting mechanism this is!!! People say they want to take this to another level but the question becomes, "Do they really?" I see slot car games on streaming video, skateboarding, and so many other things. Are we waiting on a major network to save us and put our games on reality TV? Is this just something we look to keep in the closet? What gives? |

I cannot speak for others, but in my world, I do not have all the parts to put on a show...
... be it camera/video rec'r .... weblink to upload.... .... time to edit the raw material......... that is just some of the hurdles I still need to climb before I will be in position to make a play .......

just speaking for myself here, but i have only been able to view 2 or 3 streaming vids ever on here. it is probably something i am doing wrong, but it gets a little frustrating trying to make it work over and over, so i stopped trying. thats just me on the "Viewing side" of it. i lack the skilz needed to even attempt to make a video.
for me, i will click a link, or a youtube video that has been imbedded in a thread, but as for as signing in/on to another site, then following all the steps it takes, gets discouraging. the couple of videos i seen of Mr. Rutledge were simply amazing, but it was hard to get to the point of actually being able to see it. just my opinion, most people probably have the skills and knowledge to view streaming vids, but im just stubborn and dumb. |

Love Watching
I enjoy watching EF videos in real time. The last time I watched one was on Memorial day weekend. I want to do live videos, but I just don't have the time to do it. That type of commitment is too much for me to take on. That's why I do my production videos, which by the way I am building another one now. I can chip away at creating them until they are ready for upload.
The Making of D Fury the Continuation will be uploaded soon. In case you are not aware, I will be uploading future videos to Vimeo. Maurice The Electric Coach

I have noticed that there are like 300 registered mfca coaches plus more who visit this site on a regular basis who are not members, and i know that even when advertised, told where and how to get to the shows, that when we do broadcast it is always the same 5 people who watch..not the 100 or so we really need to even bother with it. to be honest, thats why i stopped doin it... it took way to much time and fun away from my day to have 5 people watch it.
do you really think ABC or CBS would bother to show games if only 5 people watched.... Not meaning to be negative here...... just being real !

Rick, I totally agree
No negativity here! It's kinda what I expected and thought. There's really no use in inventions and innovations because it's just not that type of hobby. Many of us are old, non-responsive to ingenuity, unless it is minute.
I've have come to the realization of that. I should have realized that 15-16 years ago!! So you can imagine how I feel bringing ingenuity and innovations to the game only to see little or no interest. Then I laugh at 10 years later someone brings the same thing and it's as if Columbus discovered America. I am sure 10 years or so from now, when many of us are 60-70 years old, someone will discover a method to bring this game to the internet. Everyone will hop on board as it will be their last chance for visual communication with the little athletes and it will become a big hit. Honestly, it was fun though, seeing if this could be done. I will do some broadcasting of CBSMF and things I do. However, I don't think I will go any further than that. And like you, no negativity here, just the reality of it all. This was a great experiment for me to know I could do some other things though. Reg |

RJ, I can not...
worry about that or those that may have issues with me. All I can set my site on are those that can envision having a style of play on Internet TV. And that's who I try to cater to - those people.
I've been taking slings and arrows for 17 years on these websites but the truth of the matter is, since those slings and arrows have brought things like Internet TV, creation of leagues under the Shootout Rules system, and more, I am happy I did it. I've had to discern the facts that even those who root against me have benefited but that's just a part of life itself. When you have had the experiences I have, you don't care or sweat those who are like that. You just try to do good for those who you can help, that's all. Reg |

ERob, I was never talking ...
about you. I never even thought in terms of you. I know you do what you can to elevate the game. I am just stunned that you even thought I even thought that. I was thinking in general terms, nobody in particular.
I had read a post about why this hobby can't grow and that's where the genesis of my thoughts came from, no individual. I think I even mentioned Rick Garrison out there doing yeoman's work on videography. I have no reason why I am trying to justify a message aimed at trying to inspire more people to video when what I said was never aimed at anyone??? Reg |

Don't take it personal. Just asking. No harm no foul. There is definitely a way to utilize ustream. I will talk about it when I am able to do something, but I do have a few ideas...It will take time, and cultivation of a new generation of EF/MFers.
