Default The Real Jimbo

COACHES,

I had the pleasure of meeting and playing against the one and only jimbo. I think jimbo may get a bad rap sometimes on this board due to some of his stern post but let me tell you firsthand I HAVE NEVER MET A NICER HUMAN BEING. The guy who's post you read sometimes is not the same guy in person, he's like your brother the second you meet him. I saw him being very patient and helpfull to all the coaches throughout the tourney. Jimbo was being pulled in many directions and was all to glad to give a helping hand. I had the honor of playing against him in the prelims, he was kind enough to explain the brawl style as we went along. Due to his kindness, i let him win to say thank you (smile) just kidding. Jimbo i really like your character and your a great head coach, i consider you a friend and not just a electric football mate.

thnak you for showing me your hospitality at the brawl

SIR MANTARAY

Default The Jimbo Experience

I think I have known Jimbo for 7-8 years now. Somehow the years are passing me by. I met him at Frank "The Professor" Johnson house. We were getting ready to play a league game. You could tell he was a very discipline guy. We kicked it and just talked not only about EFL but life as well.

I knew one day I wanted this guy to be a part of something I did. Thus, he's a member of the DFW League.

There's an old adage that says "Don't believe everything you read". I think there is so much truth in those words. I remember an instance on the Miggle Chatboard when Jimbo wrote so eloquently of his feelings about "censorship" on their site. It occurred on a Sunday morning. Not too many people were up reading at that time. To me, it was a top 5 post of all-times (I wish he would send me a copy of that post). I don't usually sit and read many post. Time just don't allow me to read through every chat but this one instance it did. He said things that I normally would say. He predicted some things that came to pass. To me, he spoke the truth. I remember my wife going out to eat that morning and I told her about the passionate speech. I wanted her to read the post! By the time we came back from chowing down, the post had been removed! I guess it created too much controversy. I felt that was the last straw. I understood protecting your site but this was one of those instances where to me, truth ringed out. Thus, I never went back to that site to post. I have no idea what is going on at that site but I know his candor and others like his has caused the conception of this message board.

So its guys like him, in his own way, may rub people the wrong way but if you get to know Jimbo, you can't find many better than him. So yeah 'Dre, we've definitely got a mutual friend and brother in Jimbo.

Reginald

Default Flattery...

...will get you guys everywhere!

I just try to do what JESUS would do. I don't hide behind my keyboard, I'll say it to your face. Good or bad. I don't pull punches, I go for the knockout. Literarily speaking, of course.

RR: I didn't save that post, but it was cut and pasted by someone I'm sure to use against me in the future. Good thing I don't wanna be President of the U.S. Maybe I should request someone to send it to me because it was good reading!

Thumbs up Uncle Jim "Breezy" Bo...

I met this cat in 2001 at the Miggle convention in Canton Ohio. We've been family ever since.
