Default Reconstructing my Giants

I have been having fun with Green stuff when I have time and I have been re-making some of my New york Giants. I am not starting from scratch really... I am taking the figures that are done and cutting them to pieces and putting them back together how I want them

Eli is my original Eli figure, just heavily modified

I built Nicks' arms but Jacobs arms are HeroClix

Seeing his muscles, it seems that Number 27 's got the same "vitamins" ( ) prescription my athletes have

I like the play in motion QB. I need to add some of them on my teams...Especially on my 49ers team, since the new 1st QB plays a lot like that

Thats how we all do it hommie, nice work! Dip your sculpting tool in rubbing alcohol when smoothing figs., keeps the green stuff from sticking to your tools. we see u!

Just a thing, since you're into experimenting and recylcing, you should take a look on matte varnish finishes (except helmets of course)

Just have a try and compare what you prefer

I am not a Decals kinda person. I like the challenge of doing what I can with my own eyes and hands. I am a painter first and I like to apply those skills to this hobby. I think the 100% painted look gives a different feel and life to the figures. I like being able to say "I made that, 100%", and since I don't have the equipment to make my own decals I would have to use someone else's work which does not sit well with me.

That being said, I love the decals that other people use, and it was those well executed custom teams using decals that drew me into the hobby (it was someone's "flock of eagles"). Also from my experiences with placing decals in model building I totally respect the ability of those who utilize decals. I know that it is not as easy as one might think to get those amazing results!

so... no decals for me, and I challenge those decal people to see how much they can push their 100% painting skill.
