Angry I'm calling out everyone here!

That includes you! Yes, you!

We've had the MFCA going for a few years now, and the Tweak magazine has been a big part of it. Most everyone who gets the magazine loves it and wants it to continue. But we can't keep doing it alone. We have a small handfull of guys who have written articles. The rest just sit back and read it. We need you guys to step up and help out.

So, I'm calling out every MFCA member to man up and write something. Just one article is all I'm asking for. It doesn't have to be very long, 1 or 2 pages, or even 1/2 page would help out. You can write about anything that you think others would find interesting concerning miniature football.

It can be about another coach, your league, yourself, painting or tweaking tips, a product review covering something that you use that you think is the brass tacks, solitaire tips, rules that you like or don't like, history of miniature football, a tournament you attended, or.....? If you can't write, then take pics and we'll use them in a pictorial.

We need contributors. If you like the Tweak and want it to continue, then send something in. If you don't like the Tweak, then here's your chance to help make a change and write something that you would like to see in it. Either way, it's time to quit sitting on your hands and help out. For those that have written before, we appreciate everything that you have done to help make the Tweak the best miniature football magazine around.

Send all articles and pictures to: Ravennaal@yahoo.com

(Be sure all pics are full resolution, somewhere around 3,000 X 2,000 pixels)

Default Hey coaches...

let's make it easy to start with.

Everyone sit down and write a short bit about one of your favorite or most humorous or most interesting MF moments.

If everyone does that we could probably fill an entire issue or spread it out over many issues.

btw - I will have a full article on the BAM play-offs and Super Bowl along with stats and pics after we finish up

BAM Super Bowl III next weekend.

I will have it ready for the next issue.

Default Articles

I'll gladly write an article BUT you guys have to tell me what you want me to write about. I have a long history in this hobby now and many of the veterans know me. So if you tell me what you want me to write about I'll gladly write an article for the next Tweak.

someone could do an honor article on people we have lost in the hobby

do a where are they now...for the ones that are retired or in exile

maybe one of you super computer dudes could "grab" some stuff from this message forums, like one liners....EF/MF Cracks on coaches

find out why the guys from the 80-90's never finished the electric football book that was being written

once and for all a year by year comlete history of ALL figures factory/company produced

now, if you re read this post, most of this has been covered on this forum and or miggles, it just needs updated.

i am not a writer, i just sit here clacka clackin the keys sometimes.

Default in one word :

tweaking, tweaking, tweaking

3 words, in fact

IN that hobby, you have 3 aspects :
  • tweaking
  • strategy
  • modelling (painting, sculpting)

If you can help in any of these topics, it will be great.

One interesting topic should to explain how to tweak available products. One article on DDB, one article on proline rookie, etc, etc...

No first run or whatver, just on the products available on the market NOW. It's a critical aspect of the hobby, underdevelloped.

Take your cam, push the macro mode "tulip" button, remove the automatic flash, and make an article !

Default Where are they now?

I might be interested in doing the "Where are they now?" article. If someone else is already doing this please let me know. Also, if there are coaches that you want to know where they are now and what ever happened to them let me know.

Default Wolf, you know...

I will always be willing to help out where I can. I rather not wear out my welcome because I just know how it is. I do have tons of stories about the history and practically anything about the game but I think others definitely should bring to the table their knowledge.

I see so many guys quick to be critical of information passed on to them so I am sure they can offer novel and exciting and even inspiring storylines to a magazine???

these are some interesting topics to write about for someone:
1. The meeting between Miggle and Footballfigures.com
2. The Complete history of the Texas Shootout
3. The top 10 recruiting tools for a league
4. The Innovation of MF TV
5. The finer art of MF promotions
6. Trading Cards: The lost opportunity
7. Playing MF in the elements
8. The Science of the Athlete: Customizing specialized players
9. Creating Accessories in 10 minutes
10. The Impact of the Internet on Miniature Football and other Gaming Agents

One day, National (Corey) and I were riding around Arlington and he said "Reg, you could probably write an entire book on the game of miniature football". I think I simply smiled at him and asked him, "What do you think?'.

I know there are hundreds of topics that can be written about. Everyone wants information but no one wants to write anything. If I write anything on any topic, I have to hear the critic of "He's always spotlighting himself and what he thinks he knows about the game".

Just my thoughts,

Reg
