Not to slight anyone but there is one game I would pay to see. That would be Old School vs Vince Peatros.

Post Would Never Happen

Let me liken this scenario to something that happened to me (and maybe others).

I got an EF SB for Christmas in '85 - I was 15. I lost the strip of footballs and that was that. It wasn't until my Junior year that guys from my Youth Group played in our 1st EFL at our Youth Pastor's house between services on Sundays. All the teams and bases were his, and this lasted until I graduated and went away to the Army. There I founded the AEFL with about 13 guys and we coached 2 teams each to have a full schedule. Desert Storm hit and we disbanded.

Anyway, one of the times I came home, Mr. Harris (Youth Pastor) and I went to Miggle's 2nd Convention at the Chicago Hilton. Same year the JAGUARS and PANTHERS were announced as expansion teams, I believe. We went, we saw, he never played again. Especially after seeing that other people passed in some shape, form or fashion. We never did in our HS League and I only ever beat him once playing the old rugby scrum style, so he saw passing as a threat to his incomparable winning record. I tried showing him how we played in my Army League - passing with our fingers from the sidelines and kicking with our thumbs - but he dismissed it and we played the old way. I couldn't play that way anymore and that contributed to the end of that life.

I don't foresee ever seeing The Clash of the Titans especially after I invited them all to The SWB last month. That was their chance to "prove it or lose it" and as far as I'm concerned, those that didn't show "lost it." At least until next year.

Default Games I Would Love to See

I would love to see Michael Robertson v. Vince Peatros. I think guys who have never seen Michael play have no idea how good this guy is. Both Vince and Michael know the Shootout Rules as well as anyone.

I would love to see Adrian Baxter play Wally Jabs under the Shootout system. Adrian is one of the greatest coaches I have seen under this format. Baxter is cerebral and adaptable.

I would love to see Keith Chalmers play Robert Jackson. Both of these guys do a lot of trash talking. However, both of these guys back it up. Robert has won the LAEFL and now has his sites set on the DFW title. Chalmers is as good as it gets! This guy loves to win. He knows all the tricks of the trade and will incorporate them.

K-Lo V. Old School-I have never seen Don play under the TSO system and Lomax either. However, both of these guys rank among the greatest ever in the game. Don has many championships to choose from. Arguably, one of the most hated and loved personalities in the game, many want to see him lose but it would take a monumental effort. K-LO is simply a guru of the game. I consider him one of the best for many reasons. His mind is creative and he is willing to adapt.

Norbert Revels v. Oscar Woodard-Again, some don't know Oscar Woodard but this is a guy who has rose in the TSO style of play. He's deadly accurate in passing. He's a good defensive strategist. He has won a DFW title and lost to Michael Robertson in the semifinals of the TSO in 2001. Revels is considered among the premiere coaches in the game. I get the feeling he feels left out when accolades go around but based on his mantle case, there's no need to feel that way. Both of these seem to be guys with great sportsmanship, which to me, moves them right to the top.

#5 Rich Parks vs. Anthony Burgess

Come on now, who out there wouldn't love to see these two go at it on the metal gridiron? Now if there was only some way to play singular multiple stop with unlimited limited weights on a monster 620 board???

#4 Sasquatch vs. Swampmoose

Take two of the most incompetent coaches in MF history and put them together with the hairiest imaginary teams ever produced and you have an instant classic. :p

#3 Munich Third Reich vs. London Union Jacks

I can see Doc Smeby turning over in his grave already at the prospect of this game.

#2 Geno vs. Norbert

It's a battle royal for chief bragging rights to who has the muscle bases. This will be an all out war!

And #1 SuperSumos vs. Flaming Fairies

It's leather shorts against mawashis when the two gayest teams with the two gayest coaches face off in the gay-ratest match up in all of MF. The cliche's will never end when the announcers deliver the blow by blow accounts! :o

The five people I would like to play against would be........

a. Mike Pratt
b. Steve Martin
c. Geno H.
d. Jimbo
e. Harvey

Not necessarily in this order. I've had the pleasure of meeting all these guys (except Geno)and I admire their desire to play tough, but keep the whole thing in perspective. They just seem like they would be fun but competitive. I know I would learn something from all of them.

Really my list should consist of about 15 people altogether, but I will stick to the rules.
