My take on the convention and a shout-out to Brooks Bell

This was my second convention (last year was my first), and it was another great time. Forgive me if we met and chatted, etc and leave your name out, there were so many. I got to see National again, (a truly cool cat). I met Hoops and had a beer with him and John Martin. John is a nice guy (met him last year also) and Hoops is a pretty cool dude even though he's wrong about LeBron. Didn't talk to Vince but hung around him a little (didn't know there was a problem with him and others. I find it hard to believe anyone has a problem with him). Met Ken Allen - a nice guy more than willing to help anyone. Got to talk to Ron Bell again this year and meet the coolest 5 yr old - Brooks Bell. Brooks and I hit it off from the beginning. Chatted with Michigan Joe and Chris Fields about board making - thanks guys for the help. And finally - I got to scrimmage Frank Jacobs a little and I scored twice - that's right twice. I suggest that those who have never been to a convention or haven't been in a while, save your money and make plans to go next year, no matter where it is.

Now since you scrimmaged Frank and scored on him , you are obliged to join the MID - OHIO league

Thanks for the shout out to Brooks. I'll have to respond for him since he can't really type or spell very well yet.

He's hooked now so he'll be back every year for sure until girls ruin his life.

It was good seeing you two again.

This may have been my favorite convention of all time because of all of the 1-on-1 time I got to spend with my little guy. My wife was worried I'd become too involved or intense and somehow neglect him. I had to keep sending her pictures to show he was still alive. Plus, I had Kool-Aids there to sustain him all day Saturday. I figured he could survive on that until I made it back home on Monday. It all worked out.

It was really great to meet you. You are really iron clad straight forward like many of my closest friends. Ron, you did a fantastic job with your son. For what it is worth she can call me and I can say first hand you did an awesome job!
