THE PEOPLE'S CHAMP

Default I have a question...

And I know some people are gonna dog me out or whatever but anybody who knows me knows that I don't really care about that. I am hearing talk about 1 tourney and all of that. I'm not gonna comment on whether I think that is good or not. But I want to know if there is anybody else who enjoys going to 3-4 tourneys per year? Just curious.

Default Two sides...

Now I'm going to comment as well, and I don't want anyone to think I'm downing the process of Dre'. First I'm all for a Big under one roof tourney, but I do enjoy seeing different places as well. Being a military man I do like to venture out to new area's and see new folks. But for the effort that Dre' is putting into getting all of us united as one I applaud and commend. So I say have the BIG ONE, but leave some local ones as well. Rather have it where the local tourney are rated, and then used to place in the Big show(ie. nationwide rankings system by regions) Just my take and opinion.

Default I'm going to post this............ even

tho I could call Dre and tell him my thoughts. But Dre doesn't like when his post get no replies, and you wouldn't like Dre when he's angry!!!
1st thing Dre, my moms is well. Cooking away, I think she's cooking for a wedding, and a retirement party this weekend. If meatballs are on the menu, I will sneak a bag full of them for you!
2nd thing, what's your woman's myspace name? I want to see those pictures we took at the SWB! I think she said she would post them.

About the tourney thing. I like to get out and see different cities. But the idea of the Under 1 roof thing is interesting. Remember we talked about it when you came out to Philly for the NEFL super bowl. G. Diamond was there as well, and he didn't seem to like the idea, he was content with staying put. Now that was then, this is now, maybe he changed his mind. But we did bring up the idea of it, and threw it around a bit. The savings is the big plus. But how do you squeeze all those games into 1 weekend?

To answer Dre's question. I like going to 3-4 tourneys a year. One reason is that 2 of them are close. Buzzball, and anything in the Md area are both 2 hr drives for me. Miggle is the big one, I usually have that penciled in. Then I throw in a wild card. 1 year it was Tom's charity thing in Minnesota. Last year it was RR's TX-SO.

I played in all these tourneys. Can I play in all of them if they were held at once? How would you inspect & lock down the teams? There are many little things that could derail the Under 1 roof tourney. But I would help in any way to pull it off. I just think it might be too much for one weekend!

Coaches,
I really thought the ORIGINAL idea of this was to provide a seperate week long event to EXPOSE people to the different styles, not to replace the Tournaments. If the agenda is to replace the Tournaments with 1 big bang then I am not for it. Just imagine if the week that it is scheduled is the week you cant get off work. Then it would be 2 years before you would go to another Tornament. That does not sound like a better deal to me. I think the intent has been lost in the hype.
