Big Boards
Is the 308 board considered a "scale" sized board? I know it's bigger than a 620, but yet the figures seem to be a little large and visually not quite to scale on it. The pics I have seen of the board, if you laid a Miggle player down without the base it spans what appears to be 5 yards on the field, that would make the player 15 feet tall in scale terms.
I have to research for a post about player scale size I saw on here somewhere, but I am asking about the 308 board specifically. Are there custom boards bigger and more to scale than the 308? I am going to spring for a custom board in the near future and I am curious about this scale question. Do you 308 owners love them, they sure look sweet. Shabby J |

A scale size board field cover is 61X27 1/2. What is 10 yards on all other boards is just 5 yards on a scale size board.
To get a good idea, take your current size board and,......let the goal line be the side line. This will give you a good idea of what it would be like to run plays on a field that is properly sized for these figures. I think that 5" = 10 yeards ! on a scale board. There is no getting around it. I believe that part of it , if not all of the issues in this hobby have a lot to do with the size of the field. Would you play baseball on a football field, or football on a basketball size field . There is a reason for the games to be played on a properly sized field or court . Look at how Madden started off, now look at it . Size does matter !!!!!
