Default Elements of Football III The Quarter Back

The Quarter Back

He as the ability to throw the ball with accuracy, and touch. Being able to read and understand the coverage knowing that this will tell him were to go with the ball.

Knowing the type of pass to throw is vital, to throw into tight coverage at the receiver (bullet pass), or to lead the receiver to an open area of the field (lob pass) causing him to out run the defenders to catch the ball.

The QB counts highly on his receiver to make a play on the ball, he takes into acount that he is throwing at a moving target 98% of the time. He depends on his receivers to make a play on the ball, (to catch it). Throwing a pass is one thing, but catching it is another.
