DFW Looking to Create College Summer League
If any of you would be interested, the DFW is looking to create an NCAA Miniature Football League. Choose from more than 150 college teams and play up to an 6 to 10-game schedule under the Shootout Rule System.
The interest level here in the DFW League is extremely high when it comes to electric football and to ensure that others who may had an interest in playing in the professional league still would have a chance to compete from a collegiate level. This would be classified under the collegiate Road Warrior program. Coaches would come to Texas and play a 6 game schedule. A national championship poll would be created and various bowl games would be created. All bowl games would be played in miniature stadiums such as the Rose Bowl, the Orange Bowl (Pro Player), Sugar Bowl (Super Dome) and the Fiesta Bowl (Cardinals Stadium). We would try to make it where there would be 8 bowl games. Some other stadiums such as Heinz, Lincoln Financial, Notre Dame Stadium and other stadiums would also host howl games. If this is something that may be of interest to you, let me know here or send me an email to: rrutledge@footballfigures.com. You can probably expect right away about 20-25 coaches from the DFW League who will take part but we are open to accepting many more. One of the great things about what you will find about the coaches here in the DFW League is a willingness to help guys who may not be well-versed in the Shootout Rule system. Our intent is for you to be able to compete for national championships and it is our duty to make sure you have every opportunity. Reginald |

BCS Miniature Football Possibility
The site would look something like this:
http://www.footballfigures.com/My_Ho...s/Page315.html Things are still fluid but the ideas are many. This seems like a great possibility but a lot depends on timing. I'd love to get people here for a weekend of college football but guys must come here with an open mind and a willingness to officiate as well as play. We will see. Games MAY BE shorter than our pro games but because we like the stats to be close to the NCAA stats. These are just thoughts. So far, we've started getting responses nationally, about 8 so far have requested an interest as long as the ones here locally. It will grow. Reginald |

There is Method to the Madness
The initial interest has been great as I have already gotten about 5 people who have written emails that want to be a part of the BCS League. I think it would be fabulous to see this league establish. Mind you, this is a probing that I am doing.
Nothing is etched in stone yet but it looks like it has great potential. I think teams will be taken on a first come, first serve basis. There are some 200-300 D1, D2, and D3 schools to choose from. So if you are sure this is something you would be very interested in doing, send me emails! With my schedule, it would be difficult for me to be OVERLY involved but the time is right. If you have no problem in playing with the Shootout Rule system which includes "The Box" where penalties, injuries, and fumbles are in play as well as bowl games in stadiums, this may be worth your while. Send me emails expressing your interest and we will put you on the list. Send email to: rrutledge@footballfigures.com Reginald |
