Default Rocky Balboa Review....(2) Thumbs Up...

Ok Gang,

I saw Rocky Balboa last night. With exception to the original, this was the most believable Rocky film of them all. Stallone is 60 yrs old and it is remarkable the shape this guy is in.

Many say that he is a paper champion but I disagree. Rocky probally inspired many to become boxers. That's like calling Mr. Myagi a paper Martial Artist. Are you kidding me, his character saved Martial Arts.

...but anyway...

Many characters from 1976 are back. The acting was good, and the dramatic element was in-step with the original. No hookie performances; no Hulk Hogan cameos. It shows how many things can change in 30 years time, but that things also stay the same.

Antonio Tarver also did an excellent job as Mason "The Line" Dixon.

This movie makes the previous films better as you can now see the full circle of the character.

Check it out guys as I think that you will all enjoy it.

Default I Saw...

"The Pursuit of Happyness", the Will Smith feature and I must say I was trying to dig up a pistol (to kill myself) after about twenty minutes.

don't know about the movie as i haven't seen it yet but I did read the book about 6 months ago. From what i've been told about the movie it doesn't begin to cover the struggle that guy went through before that point. If you read at all pick up the book, its a quick read, but a lot of crazy stuff happened to that guy prior to whats in the movie.
