Default Why Dont Coaches Throw The Ball With

There hands anymore. Way back when when we had a league here in ny, everycoach took the football and tried to hit a receiver with there bare hands. I thought that was the most fun we had. It gave you a sense that you were the qb and not the ttqb. If we did not have a football, we would ball up tiny peices of paper to throw to the receiver. The completion percentage was pretty good. Why is that option never discussed. Now that im sitting here thinking about the good old days, it was extremely fun.
If your on a board this weekend, have a receiver run down field a cut the board off after 20 to 30 to 40 yards, then try to hit the wr with a football throwing with your hand (make sure your does not cross the line of scrimmage. Im for all ways of throwing the football. Some like the ttqb and some dont, some like pass sim and some dont. Would'nt it be ideal to pass with the method that is most comfortable to the coach.

If a coach used the ttqb on 1st down fine, if he used pass sim on 2cnd down fine, if he wanted to throw using his own hand on 3rd down fine. You never know what people might like or what a coach is feeling on a paticular play. should'nt it be in his arsenol to pick which method is best for that play to work. It's not a matter of whether or not a coach can pass with the ttqb or not, with pratice anyone can learn. If he had several options, would'nt that make him more complete .

Im curious, what would we be doing if miggle never had a ttqb ?

What are you comfiortable with in regards to the passing game ?
*** I did not say what do you like best, what are you more comfortable with ?

As kids we used to throw the ball with our own hands.
When we were finally was able to use the triple threat qb effectively , we switched to the triple threat qb for good.

Long long ago when I was a kid we shot the football thru a straw like a spit wad. Worked pretty good as I remember.

Spitball must of been the universal next step in the evolution of passing as youngsters. We tried it too.

Default My Opinion

With most if not all the current coaches who are playing this game played it as children. There was lack of instructions and procedures so as children we came up with a way that seemed right to us as children.

It was clear that passing with the TTQB was not fun and difficult, this gave birth to new ideas to make it more playable.

Now as adults most of us are holding on to the memory of how it was, justifying why we do what we do, while others are thinking of the future of this hobby.

There have been many ideas on how to improve the passing game and to make it more playable. This hints at the fact that a more appealing and playable method of passing was need.

As we look back on some of the funny ways we did pass, think of how funny it looks to those out side of this hobby as we continue to do what we did when we were children, now as grown men ?

The future of this hobby rest with what we do now, do we contimue to give fuel to the publics view of this hobby as we do what we like, or do we do what is best for the hobby in an effort to gain respect and notoriety?

The game should be playable not just for us, but to the handicap, to those who want to learn how to play, women, and who ever wants to play the game we all have come to love.

The wants or likes of the few should not out weigh what is best for the many, the many that are key to the survival, and respect of this hobby.
