Just wondering, I could go on vacation or to a tournament but if they resell for a few hundred each team ???? Rock Solid

could be but...................
I'm always suspicious of hidden identity auctions and for something to go up that high on many of those teams even though they are big man teams, they are pretty common.
on the other hand, ..........one man's garbage is another's gold....

What?!
You have got to be joking! $911 for 143 PLAYERS not teams, but players from the 60's that are not even detailed...someone is going to be very UNhappy and I feel sorry for the top bidder...

It's most likely that the bidder thinks electric football is no longer made or played. Either that or a phantom bidder.

Please be very careful!!!
Fellas,
Sometimes people will take an old team and try their hand at some old school painting. Some of these auctions are real ,but there are a lot of JOKERS out there. Before you spend big loot ask for better pictures. I can remeber a much better paint job on the teams I order from Tudor during the late 70's to early 80's. I never see them that much any more? Never give into hard sell items. You don't want to get burned. I know what I'm talking about Tron is bigdaddypets on EBay with a flawless history. Last edited by Tron1984 : 02-14-2008 at 05:07 PM. |

Yes, I agree, be very careful. I have bought several vintage boards on Ebay this past 12 months or so and out of the five I bought, seems that three of them had teams that had re-do paint jobs. Remember when we were kids, we all tried to paint or repaint a team at one time or another. There are a lot of those figures floating around out there somewhere and you know it.

bad deal for someone
Not only that, a fake bidder with a "1" rating was on this just to jack up the price. Then, just before the bidding finished, the person was mysteriously removed from the bid somehow and not even their older bids showed up on the list.
Many of those teams are hog legs or even chickens, and not all were big men! Duke-King got yanked big time! I'm sure he's not going to be a happy camper having to fork out $905.00. There was also a buddy of the seller jumping in on other bids for teams just to jack the price up with no intention of buying. I played along once I saw what was happening and then bailed at the last second causing them to get stuck with a high price instead! LOL! Love it when their tricks backfire on them! Really, these schiesters out to be kicked hard right in the n#*@s for doing this to peeps on the Bay! |

Holy Smokes!
Unbelievable ...on several levels.
Big Men, or not ...I'm having a hard time believing that real people were bidding on these players. Dean Baker Quote:
