One thing that is really missing!
Don's post asking what we would like to see in electric football made me think again of what I've been wanting for a long time. We need a miniature electronic football scoreboard! The board needs to be big enough to where a crowd gathered around the table (such as happens in the miggle championship) could see the time and the plays shown on the screen. The scoreboard should be programmable just like standard scoreboards and should have a replay screen that ties into a Camcorder for instant replays and such. Of course, the board should also show timeouts, time and the score. We need this badly for leagues, tourneys and the Miggle Championship! Anyone else agree?
I'll help to sponsor anyone who has the ability and the time to create this! beenutt

You know what man, Anthony Burgess and I did some research last Spring into this. What we found were very expensive (real) scoreboards that can be purchased commercially and basically hung on the wall. Most are about several feet by several feet long (for example) and are operated by remote control.
I think this is a want more than a need but I confess that it would be great to have a real scoreboard up on the wall in my gameroom. I know that you were meaning a scaled-down version of a real scoreboard, and I think that this is a good idea also. I found this on eBay...It is a basketball scoreboard though. Anyway, take a look and add this to your research. http://cgi.ebay.com/Portable-Tableto...QQcmdZViewItem |

Another thing that would be nice is a timer switch for the multi stop play methods. In Jimbo's big ten shootout tournament we played "timed" pass rushes based on a pre-play decision by the offense. It would have been great to have the on/off switch connected with a timer that could be accurate up to 1/4 of a second.
Anyone playing multi-stop play have anything like this? Have any of the guys playing in the MPFL might have inquired about this kind of a switch. Joe |
